PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
January 28, 1968
A special meeting was held by the Friendswood Planning Commission and was attended by:
Tom Grace Tony Banfield Dean Saurenman John VanBockel
Request for variances on the SunMeadow Subdivision submitted by Mr. Robert D. Atkinson were considered and the following Planning Commission recommendations forwarded to the City Council:
1.Request for acceptanc e of undersize lots insquare foot area: refused.
2.Request for acceptance of lots with undersizewidth at building set-back line.Acceptance:

Block 2 lots 8 thru 11 Block 3 lots 21 & 22 Block 3 lots 36 thru 58 Block 3 lots 41 thru 43 Block 5 lots 29 thru 32 Block 7 lots 31 thru 33 Block 7 lots g thru 11 Block 5 lots 41 thru 44 Block 6 lots 6 thru 11 & lot 4 Block 7 lots 15 thru 25
3, Request for acceptance of single street length greater than 1200 Ft. long. Accepted.
In regard to Item 3 above the Planning Commission believes that no intent of the ordinance is violated and planning of streets through the golf course dictate this type street. Block 6 could be cut in half with a street but the Planning Commission does not recommend this at present. The intent of the minimum length street will be investigated in depth and if a street through Block 6 becomes advisable the developer will be contacted before he submits his final plat.
Another question that will be investigated with regard to Sun meadow Subdivision will be criteria for minimum number of lots or families per single access road.
