HomeMy WebLinkAboutP&Z Minutes 1967-11-27 Regular( ( MINUTES OF PLANNING COMMIS SION MEETING The Planning Commission held its regular meeting at Friendswood City Hall on November 27, 1967. Present were: Tom Grace Tony Banfield Frank Coe Wilbur Boyle Mrs. Warren North, guest Mr. Bob Atkinson ? / Mr. Atkinson presented for review the Pre-Application Plat t of Sunmeadow Subdivisi on, Section I. Sufficient copies were available and will be forwarded to the City Engineer, city files, and city council. D�screpencies in accordance with Ordinance #23A, as follows, were noted (copies of these minutes will be forwarded as official comments to Mr. Atkinson): 1.Some lots along Castle Harbour were not of 75 x 120 ft. or 9,000 square feet required. Note: Since the lot size must be shown before final filing with the county, it is recommended that the lot size in dimensions and square area be indicated on the preliminary plat. If request for waiver is contemplated, the lots should be sp ecified and reason for waiver in writing. ( I <1 ? t I � l' 2.The plat did not contain a sketch plan on topographic survey. 3.Dead-end streets are longer than 600 feet. 4.Block lengths exceed 1200 feet. Note:(in the opinion of the Planning Commission, adherance to this regulation is not necessary for this plat.) 5. Rear and side set back lines were not shown. Note: The subdiv ision restrictions may be submitted with the preliminary plat to delineate these regulations. In addition to proper resolution to the above discrepancies or requests for waiver, it is recommended that: 1)Belmont Drive name be changed. 2)The intended use of reserved areas be noted in the "General Notes 11• Approval is hereby granted conditional to resolution to the above discrepancies submitted with the preliminary plat.
