HomeMy WebLinkAboutP&Z Minutes 1965-07-12 Regular1-1 u MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION, JULY 12, 1965 A regular meeting of the Friendswood Planning Commission was held July 12, 1965; 7:30 P.M. at the City Hall. Present were Chairman Tony Banfield, W.L. Boyle; City Secretary Artha Wright; Councilmen Marvin Childers and William Davidson. Also present were Buck Hausman and J. Dasch. Tony Banfield read the motion of the City Councilman that recommended changing the subdivision code to modify minimum lot sizes. "Ralph Lowe made a motion to incorporate the following in a proposed amendment to the subdivision Code: That the width of the lots in a given subdivision must average 70'; that the minimum width of each lot be not less than 60 1; that the minimum area will be at least 7000 square feet per lot and that the width of any lot may not vary more than lO'from any contiguous lot; th at the minimum lot depth shall be 115 1• Motion seconded by Dale Brown, motion carried by the following vote: For 3, Dale Brown, Arden Hill and Ralph Lowe; against 2, William Davidson, Marvin Childers." Buck Hausman presented a replat of Annalea -Kingspark Section 1, and Whitehall Section l; consisting of 51.371 acres, 176 lots. He pointed out an error in Block 10, which would be corrected by adding 20 1 to the block giving proper width or depth requirements to the lots contained in the above mentioned Block 10. There was discussion of the subdivision. Buck Hausman said that the unrestricted lots (those not designated for residential use) had been used in obtaining the average lot width of 70'. Wilbert Boyle made a motion that the preliminary plat for Annalea -Whitehall Section 1, and KingsPark Section 1, be submitted to City Council for their consideration; that Block 10 would be corrected on the copy presented to Council. Motion seconded by Tony Banfield, motion carried.
