MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD WHICH WAS HELD AT CITY HALL ON
SEPTEMBER 27, 1988 WITH THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS CONSTITUTING A
QUORUM:
CHAIRMAN WILLIAM TAYLOR
REGULAR MEMBER STEVE JOHNSON
REGULAR MEMBER MAURICE ESTLINBAUM
ALTERNATE MEMBER DAVID O'BRIEN,III
ASSISTANT TO CITY SECRETARY JANE TOLLETT
CHAIRMAN TAYLOR CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER AND DAVID O'BRIEN,
III WAS APPOINTED AS REGULAR MEMBER FOR THIS MEETING.,
CHAIRMAN TAYLOR CALLED FOR PUBLIC INPUT REGARDING REQUEST FROM
JAMES E. ECKERT OF 2105 BUTLER DRIVE, POLLY RANCH SUBDIVISION
SEEKING A VARIANCE OF 6 FEET SIDE SETBACK TO EXISTING STORAGE
BUILDING.
MR. ECKERT STATED HE MADE APPLICATION TO THE BOARD TO RECEIVE
_ VARIANCE IN ORDER TO OBTAIN BUILDING PERMIT FOR HIS STORAGE
BUILDING WHICH HE DID NOT KNOW HE HAD TO HAVE TO BUILD.
DISCUSSION FOLLOWED AT LENGTH.
BOB MCGINNIS, JAMES ARAMENMES, DUANE JAMES AND ROBERT PRAHL,
HOMEOWNERS IN POLLY RANCH SUBDIVISION, CAME FORWARD AND STATED
TO THE BOARD THEY WERE AGAINST THE VARIANCE BEING GRANTED .
"MAURICE ESTLINBAUM MADE THE MOTION TO DENY THE VARIANCE AT 2105
BUTLER DRIVE.
DAVID O'BRIEN, III SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION APPROVED
UNANIMOUSLY.
CHAIRMAN TAYLOR DISCUSSED THE NEED FOR TWO NEW ALTERNATE MEMBERS
TO THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT WHICH WILL BE ON THE NEXT BOARD
AGENDA.
THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED FROM REGULAR MEETING OF
AUGUST 23 , 1988.
MOTION WAS MADE AND SECONDED TO ADJOURN AT 7 : 45 PM.
