OF THE -CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD WHICH WAS HELD AT CITY HALL ON
FEBRUARY 23 , 1988 WITH THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS CONSTITUTING A
QUORUM:

VICE CHAIRMAN ESTLINBAUM CALLED FOR PUBLIC INPUT REGARDING
REQUEST FROM VERNON SMITH, 105 SHADOWBEND , TO SEEK VARIANCE OF 8
FEET FROM THE REQUIRED 30 FEET TO ,BUILD A CARPORT.
MR . SMITH, WHO REPRESENTED HIS FATHER , STATED THAT HIS PARENTS
WERE BUILDING THE CARPORT FOR THEIR MOTORHOME . THERE WAS
STABILIZED SHELL ALREADY AT THE LOCATION TO PARK THE VEHICLE ON
AND IT HAD BEEN THERE FOR SEVERAL YEARS . BECAUSE THE PROPERTY IS
IN THE OLB BUSINESS DISTRICT ( OBD) ONLY THE FRONT SETBACK OF 30
APPLIES AND NOT THE SIDE SETBACK . DISCUSSION FOLLOWED AT LENGTH.
VICE CHAIRMAN ESTLINBAUM CALLED FOR CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE
ACTION REGARDING REQUEST FROM VERNON SMITH, 105 SHADOWBEND , TO
SEEK VARIANCE OF 8 FEET FROM THE REQUIRED 30 FEET TO BUILD A
CARPORT .
