January 27, 1998
Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustment of the City
of Friendswood which was held at City Hall on January 27, 1998 at 7:00 P.M.
with the following members present constituting a quorum:
Chairman William Hal Taylor
Regular Member David O'Brien
Regular Member Gary Yokum
Regular Member Ann Talbot
Regular Member Ronald Decker
Alternate Member Gary Harris
City Building Official Linda Taylor
B.O.A. Secretary Linda Thornton
Chairman Hal Taylor called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. .
Mayor Harold L. Whitaker administered the Oath of Office to newly appointed
Regular Member Ron Decker and Alternate Member Gary Harris.
Chairman Taylor, called a public hearing to order to receive public input
regarding Tim DeWitt's request for a variance at 518 Linson Lane,
Block G, Central Park Subdivision, Galveston County, Texas, for a rear
setback of 191 .5" instead of the required rear yard setback of 25' .
Friendswood City Code, Appendix C-Zoning; Section 7.Q.2, Regulation Matrix.
Discussion followed with Mrs. Lisa DeWitt explaining the request.
Mrs. Marie Eitelbach at 514 Linson Lane, spoke for the variance.
City of Friendswood Building Official, Linda Taylor explained the approval
of the plans.
Hearing no further input the Public Hearing was closed.

* Ann Talbot made a motion to Approve a variance for a 191 .5" rear setback
instead of the required rear yard setback of 25' at 518 Linson Lane,
Block G, Central Park Subdivision.
Seconded by David O'Brien.
Motion approved unanimously.
* David O'Brien made a motion to approve the minutes from the November 18,
1997, meeting.
Seconded by Ann Talbot
Motion approved unanimously.
Motion was made and approved to adjourn at 7:30 p.m. .
