MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD WHICH WAS HELD AT CITY HALL }ON
APRIL ' 24, 1990 WITH THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS CONSTITUTING A QUORUM:

REGULAR MEMBERS FOR THIS MEETING.
VICE-CHAIRMAN O 'BRIEN ASKED FOR PUBLIC INPUT REGARDING REQUEST
FROM MITCH MITCHELL, EAGLE LAKES VENTURES, SEEKING VARIANCE FOR
TWO (2) PERMANENT SUBDIVISION SIGNS AT ONE ENTRANCE OF
SUBDIVISION AT 1904 SOUTH FRIENDS-WOOD DRIVE. i
MITCH MITCHELL STATED HIS SIGN OF EAGLE LAKE SUBDIVISION WILL1BE
CONCRETE WITH GRANITE- ENCASED LETTERING AND STATE THE NAME OF THE
SUBDIVISION ON EACH MARKER. THE MARKERS ARE NEAR IN DESCRIPTION`
TO THE CLEAR LAKE MARKERS TO THE CITY OF CLEAR LAKE AND WILL !BE
VERY UNIQUE AND TASTEFULLY DONE. DISCUSSION FOLLOWED AT LENGTH.
VICE-CHAIRMAN O 'BRIEN CALLED FOR PUBLIC INPUT REGARDING REQUEST
FROM TED LINDEMANN, 401 MORNINGSIDE DRIVE , SEEKING SETBACK
VARIANCE OF TWELVE FEET FROM REAR PROPERTY LINE.
DISCUSSION FOLLOWED BETWEEN THE' PROPERTY OWNERS, TED LINDEMANN
AND THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEMBERS. THE PROPERTY IS IN JAN
EASEMENT OF TWENTY FIVE FEET IN THE REAR YARD AND THE BOARD WAS
CONCERNED ABOUT THE SETBACK OF THIRTEEN FEET FROM THE BACK
PROPERTY LINE SO THE HOMEOWNER COULD ADD ON TO HIS HOME. THE
BOARD ALSO FELT A HARDSHIP WAS NOT WARRANTED.
AT THIS TIME, THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED.
**HOWARD YEAGER MADE THE MOTION TO GRANT THE VARIANCE OF SIGN
REQUEST OF MITCH MITCHELL, EAGLE LAKE SUBDIVISION AS REQUESTEDi
SECONDED BY EVELYN BRENNAN. MOTION APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
**HOWARD YEAGER MADE THE MOTION TO DENY THE VARIANCE REQUEST OF

TWELVE FEET ' FROM REAR PROPERTY LINE FROM TED LINDEMANN , 401
MORNINGSIDE DRIVE.
SECONDED BY DAVID LONG. MOTION APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
THE MINUTES OF AUGUST 22, 1989 WERE APPROVED AS PRESENTED .
MOTION WAS MADE AND SECONDED TO ADJOURN AT 7 : 45 PM.
