July 24 , 1990
Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustment
of the City of Friendswood which was held at City Hall on
July 24, 1990 with the following members constituting a quorum.
Chairman William H. Taylor
Vice-Chairman Dr. Tom Sullivan
Regular Member Mary Ellen Bellard
Regular Member Ann Talbot
Regular Member David O'Brien, III { +
Alternate Member Evelyn Brennan
Alternate Dave Herbek
Building Inspector Nick Capuano
Secretary Elizabeth Ayers
Absent from the meeting was Jane Tollett, Secretary to the Board
of Adjustment.
Chairman Taylor called the meeting to order and Evelyn Brennan
and Dave Herbek were appointed regular members for this meeting.

Chairman Taylor called for public input regarding request from
Harold & Janet Lydick seeking variance of height requirement over
thirty-five feet according- to Zoning Ordinance, No. 84-15, at
location of 903 Quaker Bend Drive, Friendswood Subdivision, to
build a home.
Harold Lydick presented the plans of the home at 903 Quaker Drive
and explained to the board the variance was denied because the
overall height he is requesting -is over the height limit of the
zoning ordinance by seven feet.
Discussion was held between the Board of Adjustment and Mr.
Lydick. 1
At this time the public hearing was closed.
**William Taylor made the motion to grant the variance of height
requirement of seven feet at the location of 903 Quaker Drive.
Dave O'Brien, III seconded the motion. The motion was unanimous.
**Dr. Tom Sullivan made the motion to approve the minutes from
regular meeting of June 26 , 1990. 1
Evelyn Brennan seconded the motion. The motion was unanimous. ;
