Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Zoning Board of
Adjustment of the City of Friendswood which was held at City
Hall on September 24, 1991 with the following members
present constituting a quorum:
Chairman William H. Taylor
Vice-Chairman Dr. Tom Sullivan
Regular Member Mary Ellen Bellard
Regular Member David O'Brien, III
Regular Member Ann Talbot
Alternate Member Howard Yeager
Alternate Member Evelyn Brennan
Alternate Member David Herbek
Alternate Member Larry Seelig
Sign Code Enforcement Officer Linda Taylor

Chairman Taylor called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. .
Chairman Taylor Called the Public Hearing to order to
receive public input regarding request from Mr. Jimmie
Gatlin seeking variance to allow 10 ' side setback (20'
required) on addition to structure with 10' side setback at
location 16610 Forest Bend.
Mr. Gatlin presented a letter from Homeowners Association
expressing approval of his request.
Chairman Taylor called for public input regarding request
from Plantation Homes seeking variance to allow detached
garages (buildings under construction) 7.5 ' from rear
property line - not required 10' at locations 1910 N.
Mission and 1802 N. Mission.
Plantation Homes representative was present and no public
input was received.
Public hearing was closed at 7:05 p.m. .
Discussion followed on request at 16610 Forest Bend.
**Dr. Tom Sullivan moved to approve the variance to allow
10" side setback ( 20 ' required) on. addition to structure
with 10 ' side setback at location 16610 Forest Bend. David
O'Brien III seconded the motion. The motion was approved
unanimously.
Discussion followed on request at 1910 N. Mission and 1802
N. Mission.
David O'Brien III moved to deny variance to allow detached
garage (building under construction) 7.5 ' from rear property
line at locations 1910 N. Mission and 1802 N. Mission.
Ann Talbot seconded the motion. The motion was approved
unanimously.
Workshop was held on Rules and Procedures. Need for
corrections were noted. Board will consider Rules and
Procedures at next meeting after corrections made.
The minutes of the August 27, 1991 meeting were reviewed.
**Mary Ellen Bellard moved the minutes of the August 27
meeting be approved. David O'Brien seconded the motion.
The motion was approved unanimously.
**Dr. Tom Sullivan moved to adjourn. David O'Brien seconded
the motion. The motion was approved unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 8:10 p.m. .
