FEE PAID .2�•°0 /�)tF� .SIGNED ' DATE OF REQUEST S'!� -S 2- MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS May 2-, 1982 A meeting of the Board of Adjustments of the City of Friendswood was held at the City Hall on Tuesday, May , , 1982 , at 7 : OO -p.m. with the following members present : Ed, Dykes Bernice Box - Secretary Hal -Taylor George Calk - Building Official Harold Whitaker Elvia Salyer With a .quorum present , the following business was transacted: READING AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES Minutes of the May 11, 1982 , meeting approved as read. MIKES GYM MOTION: (Whitaker) to table Mike,'.s Gym sign until June 4 , 1982 , allowing the owner to he contacted. Second: None MR. LARRY KELLY - PROPOSED CHANGES TO HIS GARAGE Mr. Kelly exhibited a drawing of a proposed change to his garage , which are underway. He plans to use it for a photo developing, printing and family portrait .:taking. Dunbar Estates deed restrictions do not allow commercial enterprises in their subdivision. Mr. Calk refused the building permit after looking at the plans and talking to Mr. Kelly. Mr. Calk believes the addition will be used commercially, i in violation of Friendswood Zoning Ordinance #291, section 7 , part.- 4 , page 10 , home occupations . i After a.lengthy. 'discussion and- assurance from Mr. Kelly, he would not use the dark room for commercial use. MOTION: (Whitaker) to "issue a permit to convert the garage at 215 Tanglewood, Friendswood, Texas to a NON COMMERCIAL use of the darkroom/den as shown on the drawing" . Second: (Taylor) Vote: FOR (5 ) AGAINST: None MOTION CARRIED r Page 2 Mr. Kelly is to be given a copy of these minutes for his records.
