The Regular Meeting was called to order at 7:00pm with the following people in attendance: Chairman Craig Lovell Commissioner Richard Sasson Commissioner Rhonda Neel Commissioner Rich Borghese Aubrey Harbin, City Planner Arnold Polanco, City Attorney Becky Summers, Development Coordinator Absent: Annan 2. Communication from the public/committee liaisons (To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Commission may not deliberate on subjects discussed under this agenda item. However, the Commission may direct such subjects to be placed on a later regular Commission agenda for discussion and/or possible action.) None 3. Consent agenda: a. Minutes from February 16, 2017 special and regular meeting Motion: Borghese Second: Neel Vote: 4 to 0 Unanimous Motion passed 4. Consideration and possible action regarding the Preliminary Plat of Friendswood Trails (Sections 1 and 2 and Commercial Reserve) being 62.2612 acres situated in the William Henry Survey, Abstract 84 and the Mary Sloan Survey, Abstract 184 City of Friendswood, Galveston County, Texas MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING HELD THURSDAY, MARCH 2, 2017 AT 7:00 PM CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS 910 S. FRIENDSWOOD DRIVE FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS 2 March 2, 2017 P & Z Meeting Motion to approve: Sasson Second: Neel Vote: 4 to 0 Unanimous Motion passed Harbin stated the applicant had submitted all required documents for a preliminary plat and they were in accordance with the previously approved Planned Unit Development. She said their next step would be to submit detailed plans for construction followed by the final plat. Harbin explained the development would be platted in sections, similar to the way West Ranch has been. She said this initial plat contained the front two sections. 5. Consideration and possible action regarding future Planning and Zoning Commission meeting dates Motion to move the March 16 meeting to March 23: Neel Second: Borghese Vote: 4 to 0 Unanimous Motion passed The Commission discussed a lack of quorum due to Spring Break and voted to move the meeting until the following week. 6. Communications from the Commission Neel said she is continuously impressed with all the projects taken on by Keep Friendswood Beautiful. She said an arborist was assisting KFB and the Rotary Group was introducing a Monarch program. Sasson reminded the Commission of the upcoming Texas Music Festival being held Saturday, March 4th. 7. Communications from a. Council liaison – Steve Rocky announced the Mayor would confirm Bart Beale as the next Commissioner on Monday night in time for Beale to participate in Commission meetings that same night. Rockey said the other open Commission position should be confirmed at the April Council meeting. He also reminded the room of Saturday’s Farmer’s Market. b. Staff – Harbin said she emailed out the monthly DRC report. 8. The meeting was adjourned at 7:08pm.
