FRIENDSWOOD DRIVE FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS 1. The meeting was called to order at 7pm with the following people in attendance: Chairman Kevin Holland Commissioner Jim Gibson Commissioner Hassan Moghaddam Mona Miller, City Planner Morad Kabiri, Dir. of Community Dev. City Councilmember Jinn Hill Vice Chairman Mark McLean Commissioner Ruben Garcia City Attorney Bobby Gervais Aubrey Harbin, Development Specialist Frank Manigold, Dep. Dir. of Comm. Dev. 2, Communication from the public/committee liaisons None 3. Consent Agenda: A. Approval of minutes for the November 19, 2009 town hall and regular meeting B. Approval of minutes for the December 17, 2009 regular meeting Motion to Approve: Garcia Second: Moghaddam Vote: 5 to 0 (unanimous) Motion Carried 4. Consideration and possible action regarding the preliminary plat of Saldana Estates, being 2.6 acres out of Lots 3 and 4, Block B, Central Park Subdivision, Galveston County, Friendswood, Texas Motion to Approve: Garcia Second: McLean Vote: 5 to 0 (unanimous) Motion Carried Commissioner Gibson stated that the plat meets the City's ordinances. Commissioner McLean stated that he reviewed the sizes of other lots within the subdivision and that there were two other lots that are similar in size to these proposed lots. Scott Sheridan, Daniel 1 Scott Engineering, stated that the plat is subdividing a 2.6 acre tract into two lots and that the two lots are comparable to other lots on the street. 5. Consideration and possible action regarding the preliminary plat of Disiere Office Park, being 2.942 acres of Lot 1, Block 2, Friendswood Subdivision, recorded in Volume 254, Page 37, G.C.M.R., Sarah McKissick League, Abstract 151, Galveston -County, Friendswood, Texas Motion to Approve with staff comments; Gibson Second: McLean Vote: 5 to 0 (unanimous) Motion Carried Staff comments are as follows: Remove the tree survey layer and tree legend from the preliminary plat, Provide official tax certificates showing 2009 taxes paid, and obtain approval from the Galveston County Consolidated Drainage District. 6. Consideration and possible action regarding the preliminary plat of Slone Subdivision Lots 51 and 52, being 10 acres out of the John Dickinson Survey, Abstract 9, also being Lots 51 & 52 of the Slone Subdivision as recorded in Volume 3, Pg 61A (Vol. 254A, Pg. 53) Galveston County Map Records, Galveston County, Friendswood, Texas Motion to Approve with staff comments in addition to adding an additional general note and a spelling correction at the request of the applicant: McLean Second: Moghaddam Vote: 5 to 0 (unanimous) Motion Carried Staff comments include: Provide 2009 tax certificates and Obtain approval from Galveston County Consolidated Drainage District. 7. Consideration and possible action regarding proposed amendments to Appendix B — Subdivision Ordinance of the City of Friendswood Code of Ordinances, regarding amendments to Section II for submission of plats Motion to approve: McLean Second: Gibson Vote: 5 to 0 (unanimous) Motion Carried 8. Consideration and possible action regarding possible amendment to Appendix C — Zoning Ordinance of the City of Friendswood Code of Ordinances, Section 7.5 Community overlay district Motion to Table Items 8 thru 13 : Gibson Second: Garcia Vote: 5 to 0 (unanimous) Item Tabled 2 9.
