FRIENDSWOOD DRIVE FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS 1.The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm. The following people were in attendance: Chairman Jim Gibson Vice Chairwoman Sherry Weesner Commissioner Roy Klusendorf City Planner Mona Miller Development Coordinator Aubrey Harbin Commissioner Michael Brown Commissioner Mark McLean Commissioner David O'Farrell City Council Liaison Laura Ewing City Attorney Bob�:,·'.?:;::··::::!:::: 2.Consideration and possible action regarding a possible amendment to Appendix B, Subdivision Ordinance of the Code of Ordinances regarding platting No action taken. The item was briefly discussed and requested to be placed on the agenda for the next regular meeting. Chairman Gibson explained that the amendment would affect platting of properties that were recorded years ago by metes and bounds. City Attorney Bobby Gervais explained that it is adding and taking away exemptions as to when a plat is required. 3.Consideration and possible action regarding 2008 Planning and Zoning Commission goals The commissioners reviewed the goals from 2007 to determine which ones were met satisfactorily and which ones would remain for 2008. Achievements for 2007 include adopting the Downtown District zoning, amending sidewalk policies and maintaining liaison assignn1ents to various committees. They felt that establishing criteria for rezoning of commercial properties would be addressed in the revision of the Comprehensive Plan. '· The following goals were set for 2008: 1.Completion of the Comprehensive Plan 2.Review and revision of the Zoning Ordinance 4.Review and revision of the Subdivision Ordinance Ewing stated that she has received complaints that not enough signage is allowed for large retail centers. 4.The retreat was adjourned at 7:45pm.
