September 11, 1979 Friendswood Board of Adjustments' c/o George Calk 109 Willowick Friendswood, Texas 77546 Gentlemen: This letter is to request a written varience" from the established procedure of a 7k foot side set back for the dwelling at 711 Tangle- wood Drive, legal description as follows: Lot 3, Block 1, Dunbar Estates, Sec. 1, Galveston County, Texas The reason this request is necessary is that the lot-"was surveyed and flaged incorrectly, at the time the house was built, by Shanks Surveyors in 1977. This error was discovered in August,-_ 1979, due to, the fact that lot five, of the same block, and subdivision was sold requiring a new survey by the buyer and lendor. We have en- closed copies of the original survey at the time of our closing, certified on 12/19/77, and the current survey certified on 8/17/79. Both surveys certified by Shahks••Surveyorsr_of Houston, Texas. As you can see by the current survey, our home has only a 3.8 foot at the left side rear corner, thus, requiring our request for this varience.
