R2005-28 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING A TEMPORARY FUEL ADJUSTMENT FEE TO BE CHARGED BY AUTO WRECKER SERVICE PROVIDERS IN PERFORMING POLICE AUTHORIZED AND NONCONSENT TOWS WITHIN THE CITY. � � � � * � � � WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Friendswood, Texas passed and adopted an ordinance establishing regulations for wrecker services performing police authorized and non consent tows within the City on the 1 St day of July, 2002; and WHEREAS, the ordinance required the City Council to establish the maximum rates that can be charged by an auto wrecker service performing police authorized and non consent tows within the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to tempararily amend the fees established by Resolution No. R2002-35 as those fees are currently deemed inadequate to cover the costs of providing these services; now,therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, STATE OF TEXAS: Section 1. Fees for police authorized or nonconsent tows within the City of Friendswood may include an additional fuel adjustment charge in the amount of Twelve and 00/100 ($12.00)per tow. Section 2. This resolution will be effective for Ninety (90) days from the date of adoption hereof. PASSED,APPROVED,AND ADOPTED this the 12th day of September 2005. r \ L1/t Kimball W.
