RESOLUTION #76-17
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,
TEXAS , DESIGNATING A PORTION OF SUCH CITY' S EXTRATERRITORIAL
JURISDICTION AS AN INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS , the Municipal Annexation Act , compiled as
Article 970a , Vernon ' s Texas Civil Statutes , authorizes the
governing body of a city to designate any part of the area
located in such city ' s extraterritorial jurisdiction as an
Industrial District ; and
WHEREAS , it is deemed in the best interest of the City
of Friendswood ta designate a part of such city ` s extraterri-
torial jurisdiction as an Industrial District ; now therefore ,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,
STATE OF TEXAS :
Section l. That certain tract of land described in
Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and in all things made a
part hereof , and which is located within the exclusive extra-
territorial jurisdiction of the City of Friendswood be , and
it is hereby , designated as an Industrial District , to be here-
after known as the Friendswood Industrial District No . � of
the City of Friendswood.

BEING a tract of land containing 130 acres, more or 1ess, situated in the
Sarah ricKissick League, Abstract 549, and the Thoc�as Choate Survey, Abstract
12, all situated in Harris County, Texas, and being more particularly described
by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGIN?VING at a paint where the norther�y line of FM Road 528 intersects the
east line of ,the Thomas Choate Survey;
TH�NC� in a southerly direction and along the easterly line of the said
Thomas Choate Survey, Abstract 12 to the southeast corner of the said Thomas
Choate Survey;
Tt�ENCE in a wesCerly direction and along the south line of said Thomas Choate
Survey to the east corner of the Sarah McKissick League Abstract 549;
THENCE in a southwesterly direction and along the southeasterly line of the
Sarah McKissick League to a point Yn the centerline of Clear Creek;
THEIZCE in a northwesterly direction and along the centerline of Clear Creek
to a point lying in the south line of a called 160.186 acre tract;
TH�NCE in a northeasterly direction al�ng the souCheasterly line of the said
160.186 acre tracC to the most easterly coxner of the said 160.J.86� acre tract;
THENCE in a northwest-erly direction along the northeasterly I.ine of the said
160.186 acre tracC projecting across Fl�i Road 528 to a point lying in the
north right-of-way line of F21 Road 528;
THENCE in an easterly direction and alon� the northerly line of FM Road 528,
crossing the common line between the Sarah ricKissick and Thomas Choate Surveys,
to the place of beginning containing 179 acres, more or less, save and except
the following described tract of land:
BEING a tract of land 500.00 feet in width, situated in the Sarah McKissick
League, Abstract 549, and the Thomas Choate Survey, Abstract 12, all situaCed
in Harris County, Texas, and being more particularly described by metes and
bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point wheze the northerly right--of-way line of FM Road 528
intersects the east line of the said Thamas Ctioate Survey;
THENCE in a southerly direction and along the easterly line of the said
Thomas Choate Survey, Abstract 12 to a point which is 500.00 feet at zighL
angle to the northerly right--of-way line of k'�I Road 528;
THENCE in a westerly direction, parallel to and 500.00 feet southerly of the
northerly right-of-way line of F'M Road 528, to a point in the east line of a
called 160.186 acre trac�;
THENCE in a northwesterly direction along the east line of the sai.d 160.186
acre tract projecting across the said I'M Road 528 to a point in the north
line of FPf Road 528;
THENCE in an easL•erly direction and along the northerly right-of-way line of
r�i Road 528 crossing the co�non line between the Thomas Choate and the Sarah
McKissick Surveys, to the place of beginning, and containing 49 acxes of land,
more or less.
