A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF
FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, TO INSTITUTE PROCEEDINGS TO
ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY; DESCRIBING SUCH TERRITORY
SETTING THE DATES, TIMES, AND PLACES FOR TWO PUBLIC
HEARINGS AT WHICH ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SHALL HAV E
AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE HEARD; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
PUBLICATION OF NOTICES OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD
HEREBY DECLARES ITS INTENTION TO INSTITUTE PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX
THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED TERRITORY TO THE CITY BY THE PASSAGE OF
AN ORDINANCE OF ANNEXATION EXTENDING THE GENERAL CORPORATE LIMITS
OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD FOR ALL PURPOSES TO INCLUDE SUCH
TERRITORY:

Field note description oE a tract of land located north
of Clear Creek in Harris County, Texas, out oE the ,1ohn
Dickinson Survey, Abstract 15 and l�ein� more particu-
larly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING: At the Point of Intersection of the centerLine of
Clear Creek with common line between the Fred J. Heyne Tract and
the J.O. Webb Tract;
THENCE: Northwesterly, along and with said common line between
the Fred J. Heyne Tract and the J.O. Webb Tract and an extension
thereof, to its intersection with the existing northeast right-
of-way of Park Drive;
THENCE: Northwesterly, along and with said existing northeast
right-of-way line of Park Drive, to the most northerly point of
the Fred J. Heyne Tract;
THENCE: Southwesterly, along and with the northwest line of the
Fred J. Heyne Tract, to its intersection with the existing
southwest right-of-�aay line of Park Drive;
THENCE: Southeasterly, a distance of 3,100 feet more or less, to
the Point of Beginning.

as follows:
COA7MENCING: For Point-of-Reference at the point of intersection of the existing southerly
right-of-way line of F.M. 528 with the West line of the August Whitlock
Survey, Abstract 793;
THENCE: Northeasterly, along and with the existing southerly right-of-way line of
F.M. 528, a distance of 1,000 feet more or less, to a point;

THENCE: Southeasterly, perpendicular to the existing southerly right-of-way line of
F.M. 528, a distance of 1,600 feet more or less, to a point for corner;
THENCE: Southwesterly, along a line that makes a deflection angle of 54° more or less
to the right (westerlV), a distance of 300 feet more or less, to the Point-of-
Beginning of the herein described tract;
THENCE: Continuing along said course a distance of 1,305 feet more or less, to an inter-
section with the southwesterlv line of the CDC Houston, Inc. property line,
a point for corner;
THENCE: Southeasterly, along and with said CDC Houston, Inc. property line, a distance
of 920 feet more or less, to a point for corner;
THENCE: Southwesterly along and with said CDC Houston, Inc. property line and con-
tinuing on a southwesterly projection to a point for intersection with the
northeasterly right-of-way of Grisson Road, (Park Dr.);
THENCE: Northwesterly, along a line which passes through the common point for the
Thomas Choate Survey, Abstract 12; the John Dickinson Survev, Abstract 15;
and the Sarah McKissick Survey, Abstract 151; to its intersection with a line
which is parallel to and at all points 5,280 feet perpendicularly North of the
centerline of Clear Creek;
THENCE: Northeasterly, parallel to and at all points 5,280 feet perpendicularly North
of the centerline of Clear Creek, to the Point of Beginning of the herein
described tract.

SECTION 2. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD
HEREBY CALLS TWO PUBLIC HEARINGS AT WHICH TIME ALL INTERESTED
PERSONS SHALL HAV E THE RIGHT AND OPPORTUNITY TO APPEAR AND BE
HEARD UPON SUCH PROPOSAL TO ANNEX THE TERRITORY DESCRIBED ABOV E.
THE FIRST DOCKETED PUBLIC HEARING SHALL BE HELD IN THE COUNCIL
CHAMBERS, CITY HALL, 109 WILLOWICK, FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, DURING A
REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING WHICH BEGINS AT 7 : 00 0'CLOCK P.M. , ON
NOVEMBER 17, 1986. THE SECOND DOCKETED PUBLTC HEARING WIL BE
HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CITY HALL, 109 WILLOWICK,
FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS DURING A SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING WHICH BEGINS
AT 5:00 PM, ON NOVEMBER 18, 1986. THE ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS, OF
WHICH NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ANNEX IS GIV EN BY THIS RESOLUTION,
SHALL BE INSTITUTED NOT LESS THAN TWENTY (20) DAYS NOR MORE THAN
FORTY (40) DAYS SUBSEQUENT TO SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS.
SECTION 3 . THE CITY SECRETARY OF THE CITY OF
FRIENDSWOOD IS HEREBY DIRECTED TO CAUSE NOTICES OF SUCH PUBLIC
HEARINGS TO BE GIVEN BY PUBLICATION OF THIS RESOLUTION IN A
NEWSPAPER HAVING GENERAL CIRCULATION IN THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD
AND IN THE TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED, THE PUBLICATION OF
NOTICE OF EACH PUBLIC HEARING TO BE P4ADE AT LEAST ONCE IN SUCH
NEWSPAPER NOT MORE THAN TWENTY (20) DAYS NOR LESS THAN TEN (10)
DAYS PRIOR TO THE DAY OF THAT PUBLIC HEARING.
AUTHORIZED THE 3RD DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1986 .
