The City Council of the City of Friendswood hereby declares its intention to institute proceedings to annex the followin� described territory to the City by the passage of an ordinance of anriexation extending tlie general corporate limits of tlie City of Friendswood for� all purposes to include such territor�y : � TRACT 1 Field Note Description of a Tract of land located North of Clear Creek in Harris County, Texas, out of the John Dickinson Survey, Abstract 15, and being more par- ticularly described by metes and bounds as follows: COAZA�BNCING: For Point-af-Reference at the point of intersection of the existing southerly right-of-way line of F.M. 528 with the West line of the August �Vhitlock Survey, Abstract 793; THENCE: Northeasterly, along and with the existing southerly right-of-way line of F.M. 528, a distance of 1,000 feet more or less, to a point; THENCE: Southeasterly,�perpendicular to the existing southerly right-of-way line of F.M. 528, a distance of 1,600 feet more or less, to a point for corner; THENCE: Southwesterly, along a line that makes a deflection angle of 54° more or less to the right (westerly), a distance of 300 feet more or less, to the Point-of- Beginning of the herein described tract; THENCE: Continuing along said course a distance of 1,305 feet more or less, to an inter- section with the southwesterly line of the CDC Houston, lnc. property line, a point for corner, TH�NCE: Southeasterly, along and with said CDC Houston, lnc. propertv line, a distance of 920 feet more or less, to a point for corner; THENCE: Southwesterly along and wtth said CDC Houston, Inc. property line and con- tinuing on a southwesterly projection to a point for intersection with the northeasterly•right-of-way of Grisson Road, (Park Dr.); THENCE: Northwesterly, along a line which passes through the common point for the Thomas Choate Survey, Abstract 12; the John Dickinson Survey, Abstract 15; and the Sarah 1�9cKissick Survey, Abstract 151; to its intersection with a line whlch is parallel to and at all points 5,280 feet perpendicularly North of the centerline of Clear Creek; THENCE: Northeasterly, parallel to and at all points 5,280 feet perpendicularly North of the centerline of Clear Creek, to the Point of Beginning of the herein described tract. • TRACT 2 Field note description of a tract of lund lyin� North of Clear Creek in lIarris Countv, Texas, out of the John Dtckinson Survey, Abstract 15 and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: COMMENCING: For Point-of-Reference at the intecsection of the centerline of Clear Creek " " with the common line between the Fred J. Heyne Tract and the J.O. Webb Tract; : THENCE: Northwesterly, along and with said common line between the F�ed J. Nevne Tract and the J.O. Webb Tractt a distance of 1,000 feet; THENCE: Southwesterly, perpendicular to the common line bet��een the Fred J. Hevne Tract and the J.O. Webb Tract, a distance of approximately 200 feet more or less, to the Point-of-Beginning of the herein described tract, said point being on a line between the aforementtoned Point-of-Reference and the Point of Intersection of the northwest line of the Fred J. Heyne Tract and the existing southwest right-of-way line of Park Drive; THENCE: North�vesterl,y, along said line, to the Point-of-Intersection of the north��est line of the Fred J. Heyne Tract, sa9d point being in the existing northeast right-of-way line of Park Drive; THENCE: Northwesterly, along a line which passes through the common point of the John Dickinson Survey, Abstract 15; the Sarah 111cKIssick Survey, Abstract 151, and the Thomas Choate Survey, Abstract 12� to its Point-of-Intersection with an arc �vhich has a radius of 5,280 feet and the center of which is at the inter- section of the centerline of Clear Creek with the common line between the City of League City and the City of Friendswood which �vas established by . Ordinance No. 6, dated May 30, 1962; THENCE: Southwesterly, along said arc to its Point-of--Intersection with the centerline of Clear Creek; THENCE: Southerly and easterly along and with the meanders of the centerline of Clear � Creek to its Point-of-Intersection with a line which is perpendicula� to the common lIne between the Fred T. Heyne Tract and the J.O. lyebb Tract and passes through a point on satd common line 1,000 feet northerl,y of the center- line of Clear Creek; ' THENCE: Northeasterly, along said perpendicular line to the Point-of-Beginning of the herein described tract. Section 2. The City Council of the City of Friendswood hereby calls two public hearings at which a11 interested persons sha11 have the right and opportunity to appear r�nd be � heard upon such proposal tv annex the territory described above . The first public hearing sha11 be tield in the City Council Chambers , City Hall , 10� Willowfck, City of Friendswood , Texas , at 7 : 00 o' clock p .m. , on September 28 , , 1987 . The second public hearing shall be held in the City Council Ctiambers , City Ha�.l , 109 Willowick, City of Friendswood , Texas , at 7: 00 o'cl,ock p .m. , on October 5 , , 1987 , unless within -2- ten (lU) days after publication of the notice required herein, more than twenty (20) adult residents who reside in , ttie territory proposed to be annexed protest to ttie City Secretary, in writing , sucti proposed annexation, in whicti evecit ttie second public � hearing will be field at 3902 W. Bay Area Blvd.. 'I'he annexation proceeding , of which notice of intention to acinex is given by this Resolutioci, stiall be instituted not less ttian twenty (20) days nor more than forty (4U) days after such public hearings . Section 3 . The City Alanager is hereby authori.zed and directed to cause to be prepared and have available at the public hearings described in Section 2 above a plan for the extension of services into ttie territory proposed to be annexed hereby. Section 4. The City Secretary of the City of Friendswood is hereby directed to cause notices of such public t�earings to be given by publication of this Resolution in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of F'riendswood and in the territory proposed to be annexed , the publication of notice of each public hearing to be made at least once in sucti newspaper not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ter� (10) days prior to the day of that public hearing .
