A RE50LUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A LETTER AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN
THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD AND MR. RONALD
HAU5MAN REGARDING THE EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY
FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF CHELSEA LANE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,
STATE OF TEXAS :
Section 1 . The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, for
and on behalf of the City of Friendswood, that ce.rtain letter
agreement by and between the City and Mr. Ronald Hausman,
regardin� the exchan�e of certai.n property for the improvement
of Chelse� Lane. A copy of such letter agreement is attached
hereCo as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all purposes .
PASSED, APPROVED, and RESOLVED this 19th day

Gentlemen:
This letter is to evidence our agreement pursuant to which I
will convey to the City of Friendswood (the "City" ) by general
warranty deed a certain 0. 34603 acre tract land out of the
Whitehall Subdivision in the City, and the City will convey to me
by general warranty deed a certain adjacent 0. 25754 acre tract
(hereinafter referred to as the "New Hausman Property") , as shown
on Exhibit "A" hereto. In connection with and in consideration of
such exchange, the City will at its sole cost and expense and on
or before April 15, 1987, cause to be removed from the New Hausman �-*
Property the portion of Chelsea Lane currently located therein. �
Such work shall include the removal of all concrete and the '�

grading of the former roadway. Further, the City will indemnify �
and hold me harmless from all claims, causes of action, liens,
damages and costs ( including reasonable attorneys fees) arising �
out of or incurred in connection with the performance of such a
work.
Please return to me a copy of this letter signed by the Mayor
where indicated below, together with a certificate of resolution
of the City Council, to evidence the agreement of the City to the
terms set forth herein.

organized and existing pursuant to a Home Rule Charter and the
laws of the State of Texas (hereinafter called "Grantor") , for
and in consideration of the sum of ten dollars ($10. 00) and other,
good and valuable consideration paid to Grantor by Ronald
Hausman, (hereinafter called "Grantee") , the receipt and
sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged and confessed, has
GRANTED, SOLD, AND CONVEYED, and by these presents does hereby
GRANT, SELL, and CONVEY unto the Grantee all of that certain real
estate (hereinafter called the "Subject Property") , lying and
