HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 90-11 ORDINANCE N0 . 90-11 AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF PROPERTY BEING A TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 3 . 979 ACRES LOCATED ON FM 518 , FRIENDSWOOD DRIVE OUT OF LOTS 6 & 7 , BLOCK 4 , FRIENDSWOOD SUBDIVISION, FROM OLD BUSINESS DISTRICT (OBD) TO MULTI-FAMILY - HIGH DENSITY 18 ; AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY AS ADOPTED BY ORDI�ANCE N0. 8�-15 ; AND CONTAINING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT . t � � * � � � WHEREAS , Ronald Hausnan, record owner has requested rezoning for a certain tract of land some 3 . 979 acres located at FM 518 (Friendswood Drive) situated within the corporate limits of the City of Friendswood , Texas , said tract being more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof; and WHEREAS; said property located at FM 518 . Friendswood Subdivision , some 3 . 79 acres of land , presently has a zoning elassification of Old Business District pursuant to Ordinance No . 84-15 , passed and approved the 19th day of November, 198� , same being the City of Friendswood Zoning Qrdinance ; and WHEREAS , Ronald Hausman record owner for said property, has made application to the City of Friendswood to change the zonin� elassification of said tract of land from OLD BUSINESS DISTRICT TO MULTI-FAMILY-HIGH DENSITY 18 , as authorized by the City ' s Zoning Ordinanee ; and WHEREAS , the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Couneil of the City of Friendswood have condueted , in the time and manner and after the notice required by law and the Zoning 1 Ordinance of the City, a public hearing on such request for change in zoning classification; and WHEREAS , the Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended and the City Council now deems it appropriate to grant sueh requested change in classification; now, therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD , STATE OF TEXAS : Seetion � The faets and matters set forth in the preamble of this Ordinance are hereby found to be true and correct . Section � The zoning elassification of that certain property located at FM 518 , Friendswood Subdivison, some 3 • 979 acres as shown on Exhibit "A" hereto is hereby changed from OBD to MFR-H DENSITY 18 . Section 3� The Zoning District Map of the City of Friendswood shall be revised and amended to show the zoning classification of the above described property located at Sunset , some 19 • 29 acres of land as shown on Exhibit "A" as provided in Seetion 2 hereof , with the appropriate reference thereon to the number and effective date of the ordinance and brief description of the nature of the change . Seetio� ,�,= This Ordinanee shall in no manner amend , change , supplement , or revise any provision of any ordinanee of the City of Friendswood , save and except the change in zoning elassification of said property located at FM 518 , Friendswood Subdivision , some 3 . 979 acres of land as described in Exhibit "A" as provided in Section 2 . 2 PASSED and APPROVED on first readin� this 2nd day of April , 1990 .
