A RESOLUTION OF THE Cl2`Y OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, GALVESTON/
HARRIS COUNTIES AMENDING APPENDIX D, FEES, OF THE FRIENSWOOD
CITY CODE; ADOPTING A FORMULA FOR DETERMINATION OF ACTI3AL
SEWAGE USAGE BY DOMESTIC USERS AS REQUIRED BY THE CITY OF
FRIENDSWOOD ORDINANCE N0. 79-23, PASSED AND APPROVED NOVEMBER
5, 1979.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS:
Section 1. The formula for the calculation of actual domestic sewage,
as required by City of Friendswood Ordinance No. 79-23, passed and approved
November 5, 1979, is hereby established and effective the first billing
date in Uctober, 1�395, as provided in Exhibit "A" hereto.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 25th day of September, 1995.

MONTHLY SEWER RATES
SINGLE UNIfi RATES:
A1. Single Family Residential
Minimum charge: $10.00 for the first 30Q0 gallons
All gallons over minimum: $1.90 per 1000 gallons
A2. Single Commercial
Minimum charge: $7.20 for the first 3000 gallons
Ali gallons over minimum: $1.90 per 1000 gallons
MOLTI-UNIT RATES:
The winter average consumption per unit is computed by dividing the
current winter average by the number of units. The charge per unit is
then computed based on this winter average consumption per unit at the
following rates. This per unit charge is then multiplied by the number
of units for the total charge.
A3. Multi-Family Residential
Minimum charge per unit: $7.20 for the first 3000 gallons
Al1 gallons over minimum per unit: $1.90 per 1000 gallons
A4. Mu1ti-Commercial
Minimum charge per unit: $7.20 for the first 3000 gallons
Al1 gallons over minimum per unit: $1.90 per 1000 gallons
A5. Construction No charge
A6. Sprinklers No charge
A7. Other
Other shall include, but not be limited to, schools, churches,
parks, subdivision recreation facilities and other non-residential
or non-commercial accounts.

DEFINITION OF GALLONS
For the purpose of this resolution, the term "gallons" sha11 mean the
average water metered and billed through individual meters during the
months of November through February and hereinafter referred to as "winter
average." A new winter average shall be computed each year. Customers
not receiving water or sewer service during the period of November through
February will be billed at the citywide winter average consumption rate.
Customers with sewer service, but without water service will be billed at
the citywide winter average consumption rate.
BEFINITION OF UNIT
Residential:
For the purpose of this resolution, the term "unit" shall mean, for
residential customers, each residential unit designed for occupancy by a
separate family, including each unit located within a single
multi-residential building, regardless of whether each unit is me�ered
separately. Example of a residential unit shall include, but not be
limited to, the following: a house, apartment, town house, mobile home, a
group of rooms or a single room, or any other separate or individual space
intended for occupancy as living quarters.
Commercial:
For the purpose of this resolution, the term "unit" shall mean, for
commercial customers, each commercial unit designed for occupancy by a
separate or individual business as a means of livelihood. Example of a
commercial unit under this section shall include, but not be limited to
the followinq: shopping centers, strip centers or individual businesses.
The term "unit," for professional buildings, sha11 mean the number of rest
rooms located within the structure. Rest room shall mean one (1) unit,
unisex rest room: or, one (1) unit for each male and female rest room.
Other:
For the purpose of this resolution, the term "unit" shall mean, for other
customers, one (1) unit per meter connection.
