AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF
PROPERTY BEING A TRACT OF LAND KNOWN AS 3. 0238 ACRES
OF LAND, SOUTH AND EAST OF THE INTERSECTION OF FM 528 AND
SAN JOAQUIN PARKWAY, FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE TO
SPECIFIC USE (DRILL SITE) ; AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT
MAP OF THE CITY AS ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE N0. 84-15 ;
AND CONTAINING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT.

WHEREAS , Record Owner D .C . DAWSON , ET AL , has requested
rezoning for a certain tract of land , some 3 . 0238 acres of land
located south and east of the intersection of fm 528 and San
Joaquin Parkway situated within the corporate limits of the City
of Friendswood , Texas , said tract being more particularly
deseribed in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof;
and
WHEREAS ; said 3 . 0238 acres of land , presently has a zoning
classification of SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL pursuant to
Ordinanee No. 84-15 , passed and approved the 19th day of
November , 198� , same being the City of Friendswood Zoning
Ordinanee ; and
WHEREAS , Record Owner for said property, has made
application to the City of Friendswood to change the zoning
elassification of said traet of land from SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL TO SPECIFIC (DRILL SITE) , as authorized by the
City' s Zoning Ordinanee ; and
WHEREAS , the Planning and Zonin� Commission and the City
Council of the City of Friendswood have conducted , in the time
and manner and after the notice required by law and the Zoning
Ordinance of the City, a publie hearing on such request for
change in zoning elassification; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended
and the City Council now deems it appropriate to grant sueh
requested change in elassification; now, therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD ,
STATE OF TEXAS :
Section L• The facts and matters set forth in the preamble
of this Ordinanee are hereby found to be true and correct .

Section 2. The zoning classification of that certain
property some 3 , 0238 acres of land as shown on Exhibit "A"
attached hereto is hereby changed from SFR to SPECIFIC USE
(DRILL SITE) .
Secti9� 3: The Zonin� Distriet Map of the City of
Friendswood shall be revised and amended to show the zoning
classification of the above described property some 3. 0238
acres , as shown on Exhibit "A" as provided in Section 2
hereof, with the appropriate reference thereon to the number
and effeetive date of the ordinance and brief description of
the nature of the chan�e .
Seetion � This Ordinanee shall in no manner amend , change ,
supplement , or revise any provision of any ordinance of the City
of Friendswood , save and exeept the ehange in zoning
classiFication of said property some 3 . 0238 acres of land
located south and east of the intersection of FM 528 and San
Joaquin Parkway as described in Exhibit "A" as provided in
Section 2.
