HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 88-02 ORDINANCE N0 . 88-2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD AMENDING ORDINANCE N0 . 84-15 PASSED AND APPROVED AS OF NOVEMBER 19 , 1984 , AND KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY , BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND LOCATED CORNER OF 402 S . FRIENDSWOOD DR . & 103 W. WILLOWICK FROM MFR-L TO OBD . WHEREAS , the Friendswood City Council and the Friendswood Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a joint public hearing on April 11 , 1988 to consider the rezoning of the hereinafter described parcels of land from MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENCE-LOW DENSITY TO OLD BUSINESS DISTRICT. WHEREAS , the hearing was duly called as provided by the laws of the State of Texas and Ordinance No . 84-15 of the City of Friendswood , and that in such hearing all persons attending were allowed to be heard on the question of whether or not the rezoning of said property from MFR-L to OBD would affect the public health , safety , morale , convenience or general welfare of the citizens of Friendswood , and whether or not rezoning would violate the rights of any interested persons ; and WHEREAS , as a result of the said public hearing and recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission the City Council finds that sueh rezoning is not detrimental to the community , now therefore , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD , STATE OF TEXAS : Section 1 . City of Friendswood , Texas , Ordinanee No . 84-15 , passed and approved on November 19 , 198� and known as the Zonin� Ordinance , is hereby amended by changing the zoning classification of the followin� described properties from MFR-L to OBD . (EXHIBIT A ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF) 1 Seetion 2 . The official zoning map of the City shall ^ be revised to show the above described tracts rezoned from MFR-L to OBD . Section 3 . This ordinance shall in no way reduce , amend , supplement , or change any provision of any ordinance of the City of Friendawood , other than to aceomplish the rezoning of the tracts described in Section 1 from MFR-L TO OBD .
