AN ORDINANCE DIVIDING THE TERRITORY ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD BY ORDINANCE N0. 84-21 INTO ZONING
DISTRICTS AND USE AREAS; DESCRIBING T�IE VARIOUS
DISTRICTS; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND CON-
TAINING OTHER PROVISIONS I�ELATING TO THE SUBJECT.

WHEREAS, by Ordinance No . 84-21 , the City of Friendswood
annexed into the City certain territory located south of F°arm
to Market Road 528; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City of Friendswood Ordinance No.
84-15, the Zoning Ordinance of the City, the City Planning and
Zoning Commission has initiated proceedings to classify the
newly annexed territory into zoning districts and use areas ; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City
Council of the City of Friendswood have conducted, in the time
and manner and after the notice required by law and the Zoning
Ordinance of the City, a public hearing on the classification
of the newly annexed territory into zoning districts and use
areas ; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommend and
the City Council now deems it appropriate to classify the newly
annexed territory into certain zoning districts and use areas ;
now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,
STATE OF TEXAS :
Section 1 . The facts and recitations set forth in the pre-
amble of this Ordinance are hereby found to be true and correct.
Section 2. The zoning classifications of territories
annexed into the City by Ordinance No. 84-21 , passed and
approved December 17, 1984, are hereby designated as described
in a map or plat thereof attached hereto and made a part hereof
for all purposes .
Section 3 . The Zoning District Map of the City of Friends-
wood shall be revised and amended with the appropriate refer-
ence thereon to the number and effective date of this Ordinance

and brief description of the nature of the change to show the
zoning classification of the territory as provided in Section 2
hereof.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall in no manner amend,
change, supplement, or revise any provision of any ordinance of
the City of Friendswood, save and except the zoning classi-
fication of the tracts of land within the territory described
in Section 2 hereof.
Section 5. In the event any section, paragraph, subdi-
vision, clause, phrase, provision, sentence, or part of this
Ordinance or the application of the same to any person or cir-
cumstance shall for any reason be adjudged invalid or held
unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, it
shall not affect, impair, nor invalidate this Ordinance as a
whole or any part or provision hereof other than the part so
declared to be invalid or unconsitutional ; and the City Council
of the City of Friendswood, Texas , declares that it would have
passed each and every part the same notwithstanding the
omission of any such part so declared to be invalid or uncon-
stitutional, or whether there be one or more parts .
