The Electri- cal Board shall have the authority to waive the requirements af an examination upon presentation to said Board o� evidence of experience and sdu`ation w�iich clearly i_ndicates the applican� ' s qualification for the type of license requested, and otherwise as provided by thi_s Or��inance , `Che Board shall have comglete control i.n estahlishin�; yuali_tications which will exempt applicants from taking examinations otherwise required for the type of license required. ] Section 2 . Section 4 . 14 of said Ordinance No , 258 is hereby amended b� striking all of paragraphs a and b thereof which pro- vide as follows : [a . The fee for examination as a Master Electrician shall be Ten ($10 . 00) Dollars . b . Section 11 . 12 of said Ordinance Na . 258 is hereby an�ended by striking all of paragraphs a and b of said Section which provides as follows : [a. "Electrical Contractor" Licenses which shall entitle the halder thereof to contract for , and engage in the business of installing , erecting or repairing electrical wires , conductors , molding ducts , race- ways or conduit , electrical machinery , apparatus , devices , systems or i_nstrumentation and construc- tion under the requirements af the National Electri- cal Code and provisions of this Ordinance . b. "Electrical Signs Contractor" license shall e�title the holder thereof to engage in the business of installing , re�airing and maintenance of a11 kinds of electrical signs , including gas tube signs , gas tube decorative or gas tube illuminating systems under the reyuirements of the National �lectrical Code and the provisions of this Ordinance . ] Section 7 . Section 11 . 12 of said Ordinance No . 258 is hereby amended by changing paragraph c of said Section to be paragraph a and changing paragraph d of said Section to be paragraph b of said Section. Section 8 . Section 11 . 13 of said Ordinance No . 258 is hereby amended by stri�:ing all of paragraphs a and b thereof , which provide as follows : [a. Each holder of an Electrical Contractor License shall quali_fy as a Naster Electrician , or employ at all times a halder o.f a Master Electrician License who shall be in direct charge of all electrical wi.ring or construction. b. Each holder of an Electric Sign Contractor license shall qualify as a Master Electrician or employ at a11 tin�es a holder of a Master Electrician ' s license , who shall be in direct charge of all ele�trical sign wiring and installations . � Section 9 . Section 11 . 13 of said Ordinance No . 258 is hereby amended by changing paragraph c thereof to be paragraph a, by changing paragraph d thereof t=o be paragraph b , and by changing paragraph e thereof to be par-a�;rdph c . Section 10 . Sc:.ccion 71 . 14 af said Ordinance No . 258 is hereby amended b_y striki_ng all or sai.d Section which pravides � _.;_ as follows : [Section 11 . 14 Restricted Licenses � Generally . The Elec- trical $oard, upon issuing certificates for Master or Journeyman Electrician' s licenses , shall have the authority , wherever good cause appears , to impose restrictions suitable to the licensee ' s electrical working ability with respect to the type of examina- tion pas�ed or type of e�perience listed when applying for a license , and the Board may set forth such restrictions on the usual license form. ) Section 11 . Penalty . Any person violating any provisi_on of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor , and , upon conviction, shall be .fined in an amount not to exceed $200 . 00 for each violation. Each arid every day of violation shall consti- tute a separate of£ense . Section 12 . Severability. In the event any section , para- graph, subsection, clause , phrase , sentence or part of this Ordi- nance or the application of the same to any person or circumstance shall for any reasor, be adjudged invalid or held unconstitutional by any court of cor,ipetent jurisdiction, th� same shall not affect a provision hereof other than the part so declared to be invalid or unconstitutional ; and the City Council of the City of Friends- wood, Texas , hereby declares that they would have passed each and every part af same notwithstanding the amission of any such part so declared to be invalid or unconstitutional , or whether there be ane or more such parts .
