A SECURITY DEPOSIT OF $20. 00 FOR WATER SERVICE AND $20 . 00 FOR SEWER SERVICE AS A CONDITIOPI PRECEDENT TO THE FURNISHIrdG OF SUCH SERVICE OR SERVICES BY THE CITY TO CUSTOMERS WITHIN THE CORPOR.ATE LIMITS OF THE CITY; PROVIDING FOR A SECURITY DEPOSIT OF $30 . 00 FOR WATER SERVICE AND $30 . 00 FOR SEj�TER SER- VICE AS A CONDITION PRECEDENT TU THE FURNISHING OF SUCH SERVICE OR SERVICES BY THE CITY TO CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY; AND PRO- VIDING THAT SUCH SECURITY DEPOSIT BE RETURNED TO THE CUSTOMER AFTER THE EXPIRATION OF TWO YEARS IF THE ACCOUNT OF SUCH CUSTOMER IS tiJITHOUT A DELIN- QUENT PAYTIENT. i� J� i�� i� BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIEYIDSWOOD, STATE OF TEXAS : Section l . The Friendswood City Code is hereby amended by adding thereto a Section 18-12 , to read as follows : "Section 18-12 - Security Deposits . An applicant for water and/or sewer service, shall submit a security deposit as a condition precedent to the furnishing of water and/or sewer services . Such security deposits shall be as follows : a. Water service security deposit : l . Inside corporate limits - $20 . 00 2 . Outside corporate limits - $30 . 00 b. Sewer service security deposit : , l . Inside corporate limits - $20 . 00 2 . Outside corporate limits - $30 . 00 "Funds submitted to the City as a security deposit shall be returned to the customer after the expiration of two years fro:n the date such deposit is made , provided that such customer seeking a refund has not been delinquent on a payment for water or sewer service for the preceedinc two year period .
