HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 80-03 . * . � ORDINANCE N0. ��`' ;j AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD QRDINANCE N0 . 291 , PASSED AND APPROVED ON NOVEMBER 7 , 1977 AND KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY, BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND FROM R-1 to R-3 ; CHANGING THE ZONING MAP ACCORDINGLY; AND PROVIDING FOR OTHER MATTERS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT. WHEREAS , the Friendswood City Council and the Friends- wood Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a joint public hearing on March 27 , 1980 to consider the rezoning of the . hereinafter described parcels of land from R-1 to R-3 ; and WHEREAS , the hearing was duly called as provided by the laws of the State of Texas and Ordinance No. 291 of the City of Friendswood , and that in such hearing all persons attending raere allowed to be heard on the question of whether or not the rezoning of said property from R-1 to R-3 would affect the public health, safety, morale , convenience or general welfare of the citizens of Friendswood , and whether or not such rezoning would violate the rights of any interested persons ; now, therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CGUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, STATE QF T�XAS : Section l. City of Friendswood, Texas , Ordinance No. 291, passed and approved on November 7 , 1977 , and known as the Zoning Ordinance , is hereby amended by changing the zoning classification of the following described property from R-1 to R-3 : (Description attached far Parcels A, B , and C) w r - , ' . PARCEL A Being a tract of land containing 20. 83 acres out of and a part of the George W. Patterson Survey, No. 6, Abstract 645, also out of and a part of the B.S. and F. Survey, No. 5, Abstract 64;�, C�alveston County, Texas. Said 20. 83 acre tract being more particularly described as follows: COMMENCING at the most Northerly corner of the I . & G.N.R.�. Survey No. 5, Abstract 622, Galveston County, Texas; THENCE North 44° 48' 52" West, a distance of 2810. 49 feet to the South line of a 30 foot Texas Pipeline Company Easement as recorded in Book 2217, Page S57 of the Galveston County Records; THENCE South 39° 32 ' 07" West, along said South line of a 30 foot Texas Pipeline Easement, a distance of 938. 90 feet to the Place Of Beginning.
