AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE ZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
FROM R-1 TO R-3 ; CHANGING THE ZONING MAP ACCORDINGLY ;
COMPLYING WITH ORDINANCE 291 OF THE CITY OF FRIENDS-
WOOD KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS the friendswood planning � zoning Commission
and the Friendswood City Council conducted public
hearings on April 20 , 1978 and June 12 ,1978 respect-
ively, to consider the rezoning of the hereinafter
described tract of land from R-1 to R-3 and
WHEREAS the hearings were duly called as provided
by the laws of the State of Texas and Ordinance
291 of the City of Friendswood , and at such hearings
all persons attending were allowed to be heard on
the question of whether or not the rezoning of the
tract from R-1 to R-3 would affect the public health ,
safety , morals , convenience or general welfare
and whether or not such rezoning would violate the
rights of any interested persons ; now, therefore ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRIENDSWOOD , STATE OF TEXAS :
Section l. That the zoning of the following
described property be and the same is hereby changed
from R-1 to R-3 within the meaning of the Zoning
Ordinance, being specifically described as follows :
DESCRIPTION OF A TRACT OUT OF LOT 2 , BLOCK 6 ,
FRIENDSWOOD SUBDIVISION , GALVESTON COUNTY , TEXAS
Commencing at the South corner of Lot 2 ; THENCE
N45�E, along the Southeast line of Lot 2 , a dist-
ance of 30 feet to the Northeast line of Winding Way
Drive : THENCE N45�W, along the Northeast line of
Winding Way Drive and parallel to the Southwest
line of Lot 2 , a distance of 295 feet to the place
of beginning; THENCE from said beginning corner
continuing N45�W, along the Northeast line of Lot 2
and parrallel to the Southwest line of Lot 2 , a
distance of 380 . 36 feet to a point for corner in the

centerline of Cowart Creek; THENCE in an Easterly
direction , along the centerline of Cowart Creek , a
distance of 940 feet , more or less to a point for
corner; THENCE S45�W, parallel to the Southeast
line of Lot 2 and being 295 feet perpendicular
distant Northwesterly therefrom, a distance of 548
feet , more or less totlze place of beginning.
Section 2 . That the official zoning map of the
City be revised to show the tract rezoned from
R-1 to R-3 and the date of final passage of this
ordinance.
Section 3 . This ordinance shall in no wise
reduce, amend, supplement or change any provision
of any ordinance of the City of Friendswood other
than to accomplish the rezoning of the tract des-
cribed in Section 1 herein from R-1 to R-3 .
