AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE ZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
FROM R-1 TO SPECIFIC USE (OIL WELL) ; CHANGING THE ZONING
MAP ACCORDINGLY; COMPLYING WITH ORDINANCE 174 OF THE CITY
OF FRIENDSWOOD KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS the Friendswood Planning � Zoning Commission and
the Friendswood City Council conducted public hearings on November
4 and December 6 , 1976 respectively, to consider the rezoning of
the hereinafter described tract of land from R-1 to Specific Use
(Oil Well) ; and
WHEREAS the hearings were duly called as provided by the
laws of the State of Texas and Ordinance No. 174 of the City of
Friendswood , and at such hearings all persons attending were
allowed to be heard on the question of whether or not the rezoning
of the tract from R-1 to Specific Use (Oil Well) would affect
the public health, safety, morals , convenience or general welfare
and whether or not such rezoning would violate the rights of any
interested persons ;
. NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, STATE OF TEXAS :
Section l. That the zoning of the following described
property be and the same is hereby changed from R-1 to Specific
Use (Oil Well) within the meaning of the Zoning Ordinance , being
speci:fically described as follows :
That certain tract or parcel of land out of Lot 60 in
Section 22 , I�GN RR Co. Survey , Abstract 616 , Galveston
County , Texas , as per map or plat of said section recorded
in Volume 113 , Page 22 in the Records of the County Clerk
of Galveston County, Texas , described by metes and bounds
as follows :
From the Northwest corner of I&GN RR Survey #23 , A-624 ,
said point being also on interior Easterly corner of the
I�GN RR Survey #22 , A-616 , go Easterly along the North
line of I�GN RR Survey #23 , A-624 a distance of approxi-
mately 985 ' to the Southeast corner of Lot 61 ;
THENCE, go Northerly along the East line of Lots 61 and 60
a distance of approximately 895 ' to the Northeast corner
of Lot 60 , said point being the Place of Beginning of
said 4 acre tract and also being the Northeast corner
of said 4 acre tract ;

THENCE , go Westerly along the North line of Lot 60 �
distance of 417 . 42 ' to a point that is the Northwest
corner of said 4 acre tract ; '
THENCE , go Southerly and directionally parallel to �he
East line of Lot 60 a distance of 417 . 42 ' to the So�thwest
corner of said 4 acre tract ; '
THENCE , go Easterly and directionally parallel to the North
line of Lot 60 a distance of 417 . 42 ' to a point on �he
East line of Lot 60 , said point being also the Sout�east
corner of said 4 acre tract ; ',
THENCE , go Northerly along the East line of Lot 60 �
distance of 417 . 42 ' to the Place of Beginning of said 4
acre tract.
Section 2 . That the official zoning map of the City be
revised to show the tract rezoned from R-1 to Specific Use (Oil
Well) and the date of final passage of this ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance shall in no wise reduce , amend ,
supplement or change any provision of any ordinance of the City
of Friendswood other than to accomplish the rezoning of the tract
described in Section 1 herein from R-1 to Specific Use COil Well) .
