AN ORDINA.NCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, TO INCLUDE ALL LA,NDS AND AREA.
WITHIN CERTAIN LIMITS A.ND BOUNDA,RIES A.ND A.NNEXING TO

THIS ORDINA.NCE SHA.LL NOT IMPAIR OR A.FFECT ANY OTHER

BE IT ORDA.INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRIENDSWOOD, STATE OF TEXA.S:
Section 1. That the boundaries and limits of the City of
Friendswood are hereby extended to embrace and include the follow-
ing described area of land, and the following described area of land
is hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of Friendswood,
to-wit:
METES AND BOUNDS FOR ANNEXATION
Being a tract of land containing 77 acres , more
or less , in the Sarah McKissick League Abstract No. 549 ,
and the Thomas Choate Survey Abstract No. 12 , all situated
in Harris County, Texas , and being more particularly
described by metes and bounds as follows :
BEGINNING at a point where the northerly line of
F.M. Road 528 intersects the center line of Clear Creek,
said point also being the Friendswood City Limit Line;
l. THENCE in a northeasterly direction and along
the northerly right-of-way line of F.M. Road 528 to a point
in the east line of the Thomas Choate Survey Abstract No. 12 ;
2 . THENCE in a southerly direction along the east
line of the said Thomas Chaote Survey and the southerly
continuation thereof , a distance of 500 feet , more or less ,
to a point for corner;
3 . THENCE in a southwesterly direction and 500
feet at right angles to the northerly line of above said
F.M. Road 528 to a point in the center line of Clear Creek ,
said point also being in the Friendswood City Limit Line ;
THENCE in a northwesterly direction along the center
line of Clear Creek to the place of beginning;
Containing 77 acres of land more or less .

such remaining portion or portions, the same shall be and remain in
full force and effect; and should this ordinance for any reason be in-
effective as to any part of the area hereby annexed to the City of Friends-
wood, such ineffectiveness of this ordinance as to any such paxt or paxts,
of any such area shall not a.ffect the effectiveness of this ordinance as
to all of the remainder of such area, and the City Conncil hereby declares
it to be its purpose to annex to the City of Friendswood every part of the
area described in Section 1 of this ordinance, regardless of whether
any other part of such described area is hereby effectively annexed to the
City. Provided, further, that if there is included in the general descrip-
tion of territory set out in Section 1 of this ordinance to be h$reby annexed
to the City of Friendswood any lands or area which are already a part
of and i.ncluded withi.n the general limits of the City of Friendswood, or
which are presently part of and included in the limits of any other city,
town or village, or which are not within the City of Friendswood juris-
diction to annex, the same is hereby excluded and excepted from the terri-
tory to be a.nnexed as fully as if such excluded and excepted area were
especially described herein.
