AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING LAUREL DRTVE, SPREADING OAKS AVENUE, AND WOOD-
LAWN DRIVE ONE-WAY STREETS: BETWEEN THE HOURS OFFICIALLY POSTED ON
SCHOOL DAYS: SETTING THE SPEED LIMIT OF TWENTY (20) MILES PER HOUR
DURING THE ABOVE MENTIONED TTME PERIOD AND PROVTDING FOR A PENALTY
CLAUSE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRTENDSWOOD, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Laurel Drive, Spreading Oaks Avenue and Woodlawn Drive shall be one-way streets
during the hours officially posted on school days setting the speed limit of twenty (20)miles
per hour during the above mentioned time period:
(a) Laurel Drive to be one-way in a southeasterly direction from •its
intersection with Shadowbend Avenue extending to its intersection
with Spreading Oaks Avenue.
(b) Spreading Oaks Avenue to be one-way in a southwesterly direction
from its intersection with Laurel Drive extending to its intersection
with Woodlawn Drive.
(c) Woodlawn Drive to be one-way in a northwesterly direction from its
intersection with Spreading Oaks Avenue extending to its intersection
with Shadowbend Avenue.
SECTION 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of any section of this Ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of creating and maintaining a public nuisance and shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not less than TEN ($10.00) DOLLARS nor more than TWO-
HUNDRED ($200.00) DOLLARS.
SECTION 3. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance
is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction,
such section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion sha11 be deemed separate, dis-
tinct and an independent provision and such holding shall not effect the validity of the
remaining portion hereof.
