HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 95-32 ORDINANCE NO. 95-32 AN ORDINANCE CLASSIFYING AN 11.87 ACRE TRACT OF LAND AS SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL (SFR) PURSUANT TO APPENDIX C OF THE FRIENDSWOOD CITY CODE, SAID APPENDIX C BEING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY; AND PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT. * * * * * WHEREAS, pursuant to City of Friendswood, Texas, Ordinance No. 92-5, the City extended its corporate boundaries to include an 11.87 acre tract of land, more or less, out of and a part of Sections 3 and 4 of the I. & G. N. Railroad Company Survey, Abstract Numbers 614 and 608, respectively, Galveston County, Texas, said 11.87 acre tract being more particularly described in said Ordinance No. 92-5, a true and correct copy of which is attached hereto as E�ibit "A" and for all things made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council of the City of Friendswood have conducted, in the time and manner and after notice required by law and the Zoning Ordinance of the City, a public hearing on the classification of such tract under said Zoning Ordinance; and WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended and the City Council deems it appropriate to assign and designate such 11.87 acre tract as Single Family Residential (SFR) under the City's zoning regulations; now therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, STATE OF TEXAS: FW D�Z-CLASSCH G.ORD\111396 Section 1. The facts and matters set forth in the preamble of this Ordinance are hereby found to be true and correct. Section 2 . The zoning classification of the 11.87 acre tract of land described in Exhibit "A" hereto is hereby designated as Single Family Residential (SFR) pursuant to Appendix C of the Friendswood City Code. Section 3 . The Official Zoning Map of the City, as provided for in Section 3 of said Appendix C of the Friendswood City Code, shall be revised to show the zoning classification of said 11.87 acre tract as provided in Section 2 hereof, with the appropriate reference thereon to the number and effective date of this Ordinance and a brief description of the nature of the change.
