ORDINANCE N0. 91-�j
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
RECOMMENDATION AND CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF
PROPERTY BEING A TRACT OF LAND KNOWN AS 5 . 000 ACRES
OF LAND OUT OF LOT 25 OF VOSS SUBDIVISION, SARAH
MCKISSICK LEAGUE ; LOCATED ON LEISURE LANE AND WINDINGWAY
DRIVE , FROM MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL - LOW TO SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL , AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP OF
THE CITY AS ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE N0. 8�-15 ; AND CONTAINING
OTHER PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT.

WHEREAS, record owners , GERLYN CORPORATION, by agent David
0 'Garrell , has requested rezoning for a certain tract of land ,
some 5. 000 acres of land out of Lot 25 of Voss Subdivision,
Sarah MeKissick League , located at Leisure Lane and Windingway
Drive , situated within the corporate limits of the City of
Friendswood , Texas , said tract bein� more particularly deseribed
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS ; said 5 . 000 acres of land, presently has a zoning
classification of Multiple Family Residence - Low , pursuant to
Ordinanee No. 84-15 , passed and approved the 19th day of
November, 198�F , same being the City of Friendswood Zoning
Ordinanee ; and
WHEREAS , Reeord Owner for said property, has made
application to the City of Friendswood to change the zoning
classification of said traet of land to SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL, as authorized by the City' s Zonin� Ordinance ; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City
Couneil of the City of Friendswood have condueted , in the time
� and manner and after the notice required by law and the Zoning
Ordinance of the City, a public hearing on sueh request for
ehange in zoning classification; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zonin� Commission has recommended
and the City Council now deems it appropriate to grant such
requested ehange in elassification; now, therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,
STATE OF TEXAS :
Section .]s The faets and matters set forth in the preamble
of this Ordinanee are hereby found to be true and eorreet.

Section 2. The zoning classification of that certain
property some 5 , 000 acres of land as shown on Exhibit "A"
attached hereto is hereby changed from MULTIPLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL DWELLING - LOW TO SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL .
Sect�Qn 3= The Zoning District Map of the City of
Friendswood shall be revised and amended to show the zoning
classification of the above deseribed property, some 5 . 000
acres , as shown on Exhibit "A" as provided in Section 2
hereof, with the appropriate reference thereon to the number
and effective date of the ordinanee and brief deseription of
the nature of the change .
Sectio� � This Ordinance shall in no manner amend , change ,
supplement , or revise any provision of any ordinance of the City
of Friendswood , save and except the change in zoning
classification of said property, some 5. 000 acres of land bein$
out oF land out of Lot 25 of Voss Subdivision, Sarah MeKissick
Lea�ue ; located on Leisure Lane and Windingway Drive , as
deseribed in Exhibit "A" as provided in Seetion 2 .

January, 1992 .
