R2017-17 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE RESOLUTION DESIGNATING INDIVIDUALS OF THE CITY AS AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVES TO THE TEXAS LOCAL GOVERNMENT INVESTMENT POOL ("TEXPOOL / TEXPOOL PRIME"); AND REPEALING ALL OTHER RESOLUTIONS INCONSISTENT OR IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. WHEREAS, on May 20, 1991 the City Council of the City of Friendswood, Texas (the "City") passed and approved Resolution No. R91-28 whereby the City was authorized to establish an account for the purpose of transmitting local funds for investment in a public funds investment pool known as "TexPool;" and WHEREAS, by such Resolution certain officers of the City were thereby authorized to transmit funds to the pool and to withdraw funds from the pool and take such other actions deemed necessary and appropriate for the investment of local funds; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary submit to the pool a revised Resolution Amending Authorized Representatives to act on the City's behalf in connection with the investment of the City's public funds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS: Section 1. That the individuals whose names and signatures appear in the Resolution Amending Authorized Representatives attached hereto as Exhibit "A" are each hereby authorized to transmit City public funds for investment in TexPool /TexPool Prime and are each further authorized to withdraw funds from time to time, to issue letters of instruction, and to take all other actions deemed necessary or appropriate for the investment of local funds. Section . That the Mayor and City Secretary are hereby authorized to execute and attest, respectively, that certain Resolution Amending Authorized Representatives attached hereto as Exhibit"A"by and between the City and the Texas Local Government Investment Pool ("TexPool/T exPool Prime"). Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions inconsistent or in conflict herewith are,to the extent of such inconsistency or conflict, hereby repealed.
