R2005-02 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, ESTABLISffiNG AND ADOPTING THE COMMUNITY GOALS FOR GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT ENUMERATED AS PART OF VISION 2020. WHEREAS, In 1998, The City of Friendswood completed a community strategic visioning process to study way's to develop the City's tax base, improve infrastructure, retain community values, maintain quality schools, improve drainage, provide a high level of public service, other methods of maintain and improving the community in preparation for the City's future needs and demand; and WHEREAS, that process developed a strategic vision for the city know as Vision 2020; and WHEREAS, Vision 2020 outlined fifteen (15) general goals to guide growth and development of the community; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Friendswood, Texas, reviewed and reaffirmed these goals at a worksession held on July 19, 2004; now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS: Section 1. The facts and matters set forth in the preamble of this Resolution are hereby found to be true and correct. Section 2. The City Council of the City of Friendswood establishes and adopts the Community Goals for Growth and Development enumerated as part of Vision 2020, Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part of.
