AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD
AND PROVIDING FOR THE RENDITION OF PROPERTY FOR TAXATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD:
SECTION 1. The fiscal year for the City of Friendswood shall
B-eg-En-76—n-The 1st day of October of the calendar year 1964 and
shall terminate on the 30th day of the September of the next
suceeding calendar year.
SECTION 2. The fiscal year hereby fixed for the City of Friendswood
may be cnanged to some other date by suceeding governing bodies
by the adoption of an ordinance making the change.
SECTION 3. Each person, partnership, and corporation owning
property within the limits of the City of Friendswood shall,
between April 1st and April 30th of each calendar year, hand
the City Assessor and Collector a full and conplete sworn
inventory of the property possessed or controlled by him, her
or them.
SECTION 4. City taxes for the current year and following years
sTia l-b—-ffue and payable on October lst of each calendar year,
shall be paid on or before Jarivae.y 31.tt of the sudeed1ffg calendar
year, and if not so paid shall be subject to such penalty and
interest as may be fixed by ordinance.
