HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 36 I ORDINANCE NUMBER 36 I AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT NO BUILDING PERMIT SHALL HEREINAFTER BE ISSUED EXCEPT WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OR THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS: Section 1. That hereafter, until the adoption of a comprehensive zoning Ordinance by the City of Friendswood, all requests for building permits shall be first submitted to the City Planning Commission for a report ans recommendation before same may be grantee by the building inspectoe. Section 2. That in case of an adverse report and recommendation by y-71anning Commission, same may be overruled by the City Council by a majority vote. Section 3. That the City Planningi and Zoning Commission shall act promp ay on all such requests for, builtding permits and thatlin case any such request is not acted upon within ten (10) days, then such requests shall be deemed-'-to have been approved by the City Planning Commission and shall be granted unless denied by the City Council.
