• AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AND ACCEPTING THE PROVISIONS
OF TITLE 28, OF THE REVISED CIVIL STATUTES OF TEXAS
• .1925 , RELATIVE TO CITIES, TOW-NS AND VILLAGES:
WHEREAS, the Board of ALdermen of the City of Friendswood,
is desirous of adopting and accepting the provisions of TitLe 28 of the
Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, relating to cities , towns and villages , and;
WHEREAS, the City of .F.riendswood contains more than 600
inhabitants and/or contains one or more manufacturing establishments
within the corporate Limits, now, therefore;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
• FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: The 'provisions of Title 28 of the Revised Civil
Statutes of Texas , 1925, insofar as its provisions are applicable to the
City of Friendswood, are hereby adopted and accepted.
SECTION 2: The City of Friendswood shall hereafter be
known as the City of Friendswood, Texas.
SECTION 3: The City Secretary of the City of Friendswood,
be directed to enter this Ordinance upon the journal of minutes of the
Board of ALderm en, and a copy of same signed by the Mayor and attested
by the Secretary under the corporate seaL, shall be filed and recorded in
the office of the County CLerk of Galveston County, Texas.
SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shaLL take effect immediately
upon.i.ts,passage and approval.
