AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 107.4 - SCHEDULE OF PERMIT FEES
AS PROVIDED IN THE SOUTHERN STANDARD BUILDING CODE, 1961 REVI-
SION, AS AMENDED, TO PROVIDE FOR A CHANGE ON THE BASIS OF PERMIT
FEES ON PERMITS ISSUED FOR RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURES WITHIN THE
CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, GALVESTON COUNTY, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1:
That the Southern Building Code, 1961 Revision, as amended
has heretofore been adopted in its entirety by the City Council
of the City of Friendswood, Texas.
SECTION 2:
That the schedule of fees, as provided in Section 107i4,
.entitled Schedule of Permit Fees, in the Southern Standard Build-
ing Code, shall be amended to provide for the payment for such
permits to be issued by the City Secretary of the City of
Friendswood, Texas, to provide for Two and No/100 ($2.00) Dollars
per one hundred (100) square feet under one roof, or on struc-
tures to be used for residential purposes; whereas, it is the
desire of the City Council that said Section 107.4 be amended
to reflect the change of the fees for a permit to be issued on

structures for residential purposes, and that Section 107.4
be amended to reflect such change in permit fees.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of Friendswood that all residential structures hereafter
o to be constructed shall require the issuance of the permit, prior
to any construction, and that the-cost of.,such permit fee shill
be on the basis of Two an /100 ($2.00) ollars for each one
hundred (100) square feet of building space under any one roof,
and that the City Secretary of the City of Friendswood, Texas,

shall hereafter, prior to the issuance of any permit, be de-
termined from the contractor, the person applying for the permit,
or from the plans and specifications of such proposed residen-
tial building, the number of .Square feet contained in such
project; and that there shall be a charge for the issuance of
such permit the sum of Two and No/100 ($2.00) Dollars for each
one hundred (100) square feet of building space under one roof,

or any fraction thereof; and that Section 107.4 of the said'
Southern Standard Building Code, be, and the same is hereby
amended to reflect such change in the cost of building permits
for all residential structures and all other parts of said
Section 107.4 - in conflict herewith, shall remain in full force

and effect as though this amendment had never been passed.

This amendment shall take effect from, and after its.
approval and passage.
