A RESOLUTION REGARDING A LEASE PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE
- PURPOSE OF PROCURING POLICE VEHICLES.
WHEREAS,City of Friendswood desires to enter into that certain Lease-Purchase Agreement dated as of November 6,2000,by
• and between City of Friendswood and Government Capital Corporation,for the purpose of procuring police vehicles. The City
desues to designate this Agreement as a"qualified tax exempt obiigation"of the City for the purposes of Section 265(b)(3)of the
Intemal Revenue Code of 1986,as amended. The City desires to designate Harold L. Whitaker,Mayor,as an authorized signer
of the Agreement.
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD:
Section 1. That the City enter into a Lease Purchase Agreement with Government Capital Corporarion for the
ptupose of procuring police vehicles.
Section 2. That the Lease Purchase Agreement dated as of November 6, 2000, by and between the City and
Government Capital Corporarion is designated by the City as a"qualified tax exempt obligation"for the purposes of Section 265
(b)(3)of the Intemal Revenue Code of 1986,as amended.
Secrion 3. That the City designates Harold L. Whitaker,Mayor, as an authorized signer of the Lease Purchase
Agreement dated as of November 6,2000,by and between the City of Friendswood and Government Capital Corporarion.
