R2001-24 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING MEMBERSHIP IN THE TEXAS CONFERENCE URBAN COUNTIES (TCUC) AGGREGATION PROJECT, INC. (TCAP) FOR PURCHASING OF ELECTRICITY * * � � �r * WHEREAS, the City of Friendswood wish to obtain the lowest cost of electricity available in the restructured competitive market scheduled to open in Texas; and WHEREAS,the Texas Conference of Urban Counties has formed the Texas CUC Aggregation Project, Inc. (TCAP); and WHEREAS,TCAP will aggregate the purchasing of electricity for all member political subdivision in order to obtain electi�icity rates that are lower than any individual political subdivision could obtain by itself, or could obtain by any other means. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Friendswood of Friendswood, Texas agrees to join the Texas CUC Aggregation Project, Inc., and: 1. Approves the TCAP, Inc. Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws (dated December 8, 2000) as presented; 2. Appoints the City Manager as the Representative of the City of Friendswood to TCAP. 3. Approves and authorizes the payment of initial dues to TCAP in an amount of $3,190.00; 4. and designates the following list of the City of Friendswood facilities, identified by name, service address and utility account number as facilities for which TCAP is authorized to purchase eiectricity for. (Energy, Facility Name Facility Address Utility Account No. Demand Data, or Mont Bill Meters) R2001-24 Initial Dues Worksheet Obtain from your local utility how many meters you have in each of four classifications, and enter the data in the formula below: Energy Meters are normal electric meters that measure energy used in kwH, like that found on residences. Count meters in this category if you have past usage data for the meter showing the billing period, amount of energy used, and account number for the meter. This data should be available to you from your local utility. Demand Meters are meters that measure both energy used and peak demand per billing cycle, like those found on most governmental buildings and businesses. Count meters in this category if you have past usage data in electronic format for the meter showing the billing period, amount of ene�gy used, peak demand, and account number for the meter. This data should be available to you from your local utility. Demand Data Meters, or Interval Data Meters, are meters that measure and record in electronic format the peak demand at that meter for each 15-minute interval of each day of the year. These meters are found on large industrial, commercial, or institutional facilities. Only count meters in this category if you have past 15- minute interval data available in electronic format for the meter. This data should be available to your from the local utility. Monthly Bill Meters are energy or demand meters that you cannot get past usage data on in electronic format, and can only provide paper copies of pass bills for those meters. Energy Meters = 98 * $30 = $ 2,940. Demand Meters = * $30 = $ Demand Data Meters = * $50 = $ Monthly Bill Meters = * $75 = $ Total from above four lines = $ a,940.
