RESOLUTION NO.R2001-16
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS,
APPROVING THE HONORARY DESIGNATION OF FARM-TO-
MARKET ROAD 528 WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF
FRIENDSWOOD AS RALPH L.LOWE PARKWAY.

WHEREAS,the City of Friendswood wishes to honor Ralph L. Lowe's memory for his long time service
to the City of Friendswood as Mayor; and
WHEREAS, the City of Friendswood desires to approve the honorary designation of Farm-to-Market
Road 528 within the City Limits as the Ralph L. Lowe Parkway; and
WHEREAS, the City of Friendswood would request the Texas Department of Transportation to design
and construct memorial markers indicating the designation as the Ralph L. Lowe Parkway. The Texas
Department of Transportation shall erect a marker at each end of the Parkway and at appropriate
intermediate sites along the Parkway within the city limits of the City of Friendswood.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRIENDSWOOD, STATE OF TEXAS:
That the City of Friendswood City Council approves the honorary designation of Farm-to-Market Road
528 within the city limits as Ralph L. Lowe Parkway.
