RESOLIJTION NO. R2002-56
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS WAIVING FUNDING FROM THE CRIMINAL
JUSTICE DIVISION, OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR, FOR THE
JUVENILE ACCOUNTABILITY INCENTIVE BLOCK GRANT (JAIBG)
AND DESIGNATING THE COUNTY OF GALVESTON AS THE
RECIPIENT OF THE ALLOCATED AMOUNT.
WI-�REAS, Applicants eligible for formula-based funding may waive applications for funds by
submitting a resolution from the governing body, listing the amount of money, and to whom they
are waiving it.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,
TEXAS:
Section L The City of Friendswood waives funding in the amount of$6,721 designated to
our jurisdiction, but would like to designate Galveston County as the recipient of the allocated
amount.
Section 2. The City of Friendswood waives the right to apply and names Galveston County
as the designee for the waived funds and agrees to participate in the Juvenile Crime Enforcement
Coalition (JCEC) created by the designee and names the representatives to serve on the
designee's JCEC.
