ORDINANCE NO. 2016-07 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, ORDINANCE NO. 2014-29, PASSED AND APPROVED OCTOBER 6, 2014, SAME BEING AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE CITY'S GENERAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2014-2015 BY APPROVING "BUDGET AMENDMENT XVI" TO THE "ORIGINAL GENERAL BUDGET OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2014- 2015"; PROVIDING FOR SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION AND/OR TRANSFER OF CERTAIN FUNDS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT. WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 2014-29, the City Council of the City of Friendswood, Texas, adopted its"Original General Budget for Fiscal Year 2014-2015"; and WHEREAS,the City Council has determined that revenues and/or reserves are available for supplemental appropriation, and/or that the transfer of certain funds interdepartmentally is economically feasible and in the best interest of prudent budgeting and for municipal purposes; and WHEREAS, Section 8.04 of The City Charter provides for amendments after adoption of the budget; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend said Original General Budget to reflect such supplemental appropriation and/or transfer in the fiscal year 2014-2015; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, STATE OF TEXAS: Section 1. The facts and matters set forth in the preamble of this Ordinance are hereby found to be true and correct. Section 2. The "Original General Budget of the City of Friendswood, Texas, for the Fiscal Year 2014-2015," is hereby amended for municipal purposes as shown on "Budget Amendment XVI"to the "Original Budget of the City of Friendswood, Texas, for the Fiscal year 2014-2015" attached hereto. Said Budget Amendment XVI shall be attached to and made a part of such Original General Budget by the City Secretary and shall be filed as required by state law, a true and correct copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibits "A" and "B" and made a part hereof for all purposes. Section 3. In the event any clause, phrase, provision, sentence, or part of this ordinance or the application of the same to any person or circumstance shall for any reason be adjudged invalid or held unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect, impair, or invalidate this ordinance as a whole or any part or provision hereof other than the part declared to be invalid or unconstitutional; and the City Council of the City of Friendswood, Texas, declares that it would have passed each and every part of the same notwithstanding the omission of any such part thus declared to be invalid or unconstitutional,whether there be one or more parts. Police Department Vehicle Insurance Reimbursements, $1,850. Appropriate insurance reimbursements received from Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool. Funding will be appropriated to the patrol division vehicle maintenance account for repairs made to units P110. Reimbursement was received from TML on September 21, 2015. 2. Police Investigation Fund, $985. Appropriate asset forfeiture funds received. Funds will be appropriated to the Police Investigation Fund (PIF) operating services account. Ord 2016-07 Exhibit A
