A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,
TEXAS, GALVESTON/HARRIS COUNTIES, SUBMITTING
A NOMINATION(S) TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE GALVESTON CENTRAL APPRAISAL DISTRICT
FOR 2016-2017.
WHEREAS, the Texas Property Tax Code requires that Galveston Central Appraisal District
Directors be elected officials; and
WHEREAS,each taxing entity is entitled to nominate a candidate for a position to be filled; and
WHEREAS, the nomination must be done in open session and submitted by the presiding officer
to the chief appraiser.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRIENDSWOOD,TEXAS:
Section 1. That the facts and recitations set forth in the preamble of this resolution be, and
they are hereby, adopted,ratified, and confirmed.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Friendswood, Texas, hereby submits the
following nominee(s)for Board of Directors for 2016-2017, for a two-year term commencing on January
01,2016, and extending through December 31, 2017.
