A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,
TEXAS, GALVESTON/HARRIS COUNTIES, ENDORSING
THE REAPPOINTMENT OF SIX (6) MEMBERS AND
APPOINTMENT OF ONE (1) NEW MEMBER TO THE
GALVESTON COUNTY UNITED BOARD OF HEALTH.
WHEREAS, the 13 members of the Galveston County United Board of Health are
nominated by the Galveston County Commissioners' Court and are confirmed by the member
governments of the Health District; and
WHEREAS, the City of Friendswood is a member government of the Health District;
and
WHEREAS, the reappointment of six (6) members and new appointment of one (1)
member are under consideration; and
WHEREAS,the Galveston County Commissioners' Court has made its nominations and
presented them to the City of Friendswood for confirmation;
NOW, BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Friendswood
confirms and endorses the following reappointments and appointments to the Galveston County
United Board of Health,for the following members:
Nominees with a term from May 01,2015—April 30,2017
Ben G. Raimer, MD—UTMB (reappointment)
Eric Froeschner—Interested Citizen(reappointment)
Mark Sonnier—Interested Citizen(reappointment)
John Hackbarth, DDS—Dentist (reappointment)
Tim Rainey—Municipality (reappointment)
Steve Pratt—Food Service/Food Sales Industry (reappointment)
Michael Roussos—Mainland Medical Center (new appointment)
PASSED, APPROVED AND RESOLVED, this the 13t" day of July 2015.
