A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS
AND CONDITIONS OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
BY AND BETWEEN TEXAS REVENUE RECOVERY
ASSOCIATION AND THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,
TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR MEMBERSHIP IN A
CONSORTIUM OF LOCAL GOVERNMENTS WORI{ING
TOGETHER TO COLLECT DELINQUENT UTILITY AND
SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL SERVICES FEES;
DESIGNATING ROGER C. ROECKER, CITY MANAGER,
AS OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CITY OF
FRIENDSWOOD RELATING TO THE PROGRAM.
WHEREAS,,the City Council of the City of Friendswood, Texas has been presented a
proposed Interlocal Agreement by and between Texas Revenue Recovery Association, and the
City of Friendswood and found to be acceptable and in the best interests of the City of
Friendswood and its citizens, is hereby in all things approved.
WHEREAS, the City of Friendswood, Texas, pursuant to the authority granted under
Subchapter Z, Chapter 552.910 of the Texas Local Government Code and Section 364.037 of the
Texas Health and Safety Code, desires to participate in the described delinquent utility and solid
waste management fees collection program sponsored by Texas Revenue Recovery Association,
and is of the opinion that participation in this program will be highly beneficial to the citizens of
Friendswood by fiords collected being available for expenditures related to utility operations and
utility capital improvements.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD,
TEXAS:
Section 1. The Terms and conditions of the agreement having been reviewed by the City
Council of the City of Friendswood and found to be acceptable and in the best interest of the City
of Friendswood and its citizens are hereby in all things approved.
Section 2. The City Manager, Roger C. Roecker, of the City of Friendswood under the
direction of the City Council of the City of Friendswood is hereby designated to act for the City
of Friendswood in all matters relating to the Texas Revenue Recovery Association.
Section 3. This resolution shall become effective from and after its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 13TH DAY OF JANUARY,2014.
