AN ORDINANCE FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY NO LONGER REQUIRE THE
CONTINUED EXISTENCE OF A PORTION OF THAT CERTAIN
0.6796 ACRES BEING A PORTION OF MUSTANG ROAD
DEDICATFsD PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY LOCATED IN THE
CENTRAL PARK SUBDIVISION, LOT 3, BLOCK H, IN THE
SARAH MCKISSICK OR J.E. WILLIAMS LEAGUE, GALVESTON
COUNTY, TEXAS.

WHEREAS, Friendswood Independent School District, the abutting property
owners, has petitioned the City of Friendswood, Texas, to vacate, abandon,
and close the hereinafter described public right of way; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that such public right of way
should be vacated, abandoned, and closed for the reason that the same is no
longer needed by the public or the City, and that the public convenience
will not be harmed by such vacation, abandonment and closure; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, STATE OF
TEXAS:
Section 1. The facts and matters set forth in the preamble of this
Ordinance are hereby found to be true and correct.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Friendswood, Texas, hereby
finds and determines that public convenience and necessity no longer require
the existence of the .06797 acres being a portion of Mustang Road, out of
Lot 3, Block H, Central Park Subdivision in the Sarah McKissick or J. R.
Williams League, public right of way described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes.

Section 3 . The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute and the City
Secretary is hereby authorized to attest, respectively, a quitclaim deed, a
copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, conveying the
public right of way described in Exhibit "A" to Friendswood Independent
School District.

COUNTY OF GALVESTON ) (
That the City of Friendswood has released and quitclaimed and by these
presents does release and quitclaim unto the Friendswood Independent School
District all its rights, title, interest, claim and demand in and to the
property which was vacated, closed and abandoned by Ordinance No. 99-12,
passed and approved by the City Council of the City of Friendswood and
described as a portion of that certain 0.6796 acres being a portion of
Mustang Road (80' ) wide public Right of Way, located in the Central Park
Subdivision, Lot 3, Block H, in the Sarah McKissick or J. E. Williams
League, Galveston County, Texas, according to the plat thereof filed in
Volume 105, Page 151, Galveston County Map Records and being more
particularly described in the attached metes and bounds description
identified as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof by reference.

FRIENDSWOOD, GALVESTON COUNTY, TEXAS
All that certai� 0.6796 acres being a portion of Mustang Road (80' wide) as
dedicated by that certain deed dated 01-01-1967 from Cecii Brown to
Friendswood Independent School District as filed in Volume 1835, Page 06
Galveston County Deed Records and being out of Lot 3, Block "H" Central
Park a subdivision in the Sarah McKissick or J.R. Williams League,
Friendswood, Galveston County, Texas, according to the plat thereof filed in
Volume 105, Page 151 Galveston County Map Records and being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows;
Beginning at a found 1/2" i�on rod marking the south corner of Brenham
Estates according to the plat thereof filed in Plat Record 18, Map Number
601 Galveston County Map Records, said point being on the existing
northwesterly right-of-way line of said Mustang Road;
Thence S 45° 00' 00" E - 80.00' to a set 5/8" iron rod for corner;
Thence S 45° 00' 00" W - 370.00' with the southeasterly right-of-way line
of said Mustang Road to a set 5/8" iron rod for corner;
Thence N 45° 05' 48" W - 80.00' with the most northeasterly line of
Wilderness Trails, Section III according to the plat thereof filed in Plat Reco�d
18, Map Number 292 and 293 Galveston County Map Records to a set 5/8"
iron rod for corner;
Thence N 45° 00' 00" E - 370.13' with the said northwesterly right-of-way
line of Mustang Road to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 0.6796
acres (29,605 square feet) of land more or less.
