AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 86-6, WHICH AMENDED ORDINANCE NO. 84-15, �
PASSED AND APPROVED ON NOVEMBER 19, 1984, AND KNOWN AS
THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY, BY AMENDING THE
ZONING OF A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED AT 2304 OLD
ROAD, LOT 52, SLOAN SUBDIVISION FROM AGRICULTURAL (A-1)
TO SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL (SFR); AND PROVIDING A
PENALTY IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $2,000 FOR EACH DAY
OF VIOLATION OF ANY PRO VI�IOIv�I�I�Or.

WHEREAS, the Friendswood City Council and the Friendswood Planning and Zoning
Commission conducted a joint public hearing on September 25, 2000, to consider an
amendment to Ordinance No. 86-6 covering the herein described parcel of land, in order to
allow a change of zoning classification from AGRICULTURAL (A-1) to SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL (SFR); and
WHEREAS, the hearing was duly called as provided by the laws of the State of Texas
and Ordinance No. 84-15 of the City of Friendswood, and in such hearing all persons

classification on said property from AGRICULTURAL (A-1) to SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL (SFR) would affect the public health, safety, morale, convenience, or general
welfare of the citizens of Friendswood, and whether or not rezoning would violate the rights of
any interested person; and
WHEREAS, the City of Friendswood planning and zoning change noted at its October
5, 2000 meeting to recommend approval of the zone change; and

WHEREAS, as a result of the said public hearing and recommendation from the
Friendswood Zoning Commission, the City Council finds that such change of zoning
classification is not detrimental to the community; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, STATE
OF TEXAS:
Section 1. City of Friendswood, Texas, Ordinance No. 84-15, passed and approved
on November 19, 1984, and known as the Zoning Ordinance, are hereby amended by changing
the zoning classification of certain property described in Exhibit A, which is attached heretc�
and made a part hereof, and which is known as 2304 Old Road, Lot 52, Sloan Subdivision,
from AGRICULTURAL (A-1) to SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL (SFR).
Section 2. The official zoning map of the City shall be revised to show the above
described tracts rezoned from AGRICULTURAL (A-1) to SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
(SFR).
Section 3. This Ordinance shall in no way reduce, amend, supplement, or change
any provision of any ordinance of the City of Friendswood, other than to accomplish the
rezoning of the tracts described in Section 1 from AGRICULTURAL (A-1) to SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL (SFR).
Section 4. Any person who shall violate any provision of this Ordinance shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined in an amount not to exceed
$2,000. Each day of violation shall constitute a separate offense.
