A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING THE DATE,
TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
AMENDMENT OF LAND USE ASSUMPTIONS, CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENTS PLAN AND IMPACT FEES FOR
FRIENDSWOOD AND ITS EXTRATERRITORIAL
JURISDICTION; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE
DATE THERE,OF.
WHEREAS, by Resolution 90-22, approved on June 4, 1990,the City Council of the
City of Friendswood adopted Land Use Assumptions, Capital Improvements Plan and Impact
Fees(collectively"Plan" or"Impact Fees") and has proceeded to update such Impact Fees
pursuant to Chapter 395 of the Texas Local Government Code: and
WHEREAS,the City Council has now received the proposed update of Impact Fees, and
as required by Section 395.053 has determined to adopt this Resolution ordering the setting of a
public hearing to discuss and review the update to determine whether to amend the Plan;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRIENDSWOOD,STATE OF TEXAS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Friendswood, Texas, hereby establishes
September 9, 2013, as the date for a public hearing to consider the amendment of impact fees for
Friendswood and its extraterritorial jurisdiction. Such public hearing will be held at 7:00 p.m. in
the City Council Chambers of the City of Friendswood, located at 910 S. Friendswood Drive,
Friendswood,Texas
Section 2. The City Secretary of the City of Friendswood is hereby authorized and
directed to cause notice of the public hearing to be published in the newspaper having general
circulation in each county in which the City of Friendswood is located before the 30`11 day before
the date set for the hearing. The notice must contain:

(1) A headline to read as follows:
"NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON AMENDMENT OF
IMPACT FEES;"
(2) The time, date, and location of the hearing;
(3) A statement that the purpose of the hearing is to consider the amendment of land
use assumptions and a capital improvements plan and the imposition of an impact
fee; and
(4) A statement that any member of the public has the right to appear at the hearing
and present evidence for or against the update.
Section 3. The City Secretary of the City of Friendswood is hereby authorized and
directed to cause notice of the public hearing to be sent to any person who has given written
notice by certified or registered mail to the City Secretary requesting notice of the hearing within
two years preceding the date of this Resolution.
Section 4. This Resolution shall talce effect immediately from and after its passage by
the City Council of the City of Friendswood.
